An interesting wall treatment was chosen to bring more light and interest to the shared wall of the staircase and Dining Room. A Family Gallery Wall was created in the Dining Room to emphasize shared good times as well as to camouflage the electrical & HVAC componentry on the wall.

Through the years I have come up with this design for a computer set-up. The mouse is not on top of the desk, but is under it in a separate compartment; this allows work to be done on the desktop without clearing a space for the mouse each time. The screen is located lower so that you look down on it instead of straining your neck when it is on top of a desk. The keyboard slides in and out, which is convenient.
