KIDSANCTUARY CAMPUS is a charitable organization in Palm Beach County committed to assisting children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect or abandonment. They are continuing to build a five acre residential facility with homes, an enrichment center and play areas. Palm Beach County graciously donated this land for our project. The campus includes 24-hour care and housing for the children who are considered the most vulnerable in the foster care system. KidSanctuary Campus brings in expert, professional foster parents who raise the children living in our homes. They provide comfort, security and consistency. It is often the first time these children are in such a safe, structured environment.

At the top of the stairs, the Schneiders have made use of redundant space by creating an elegant home office alternative. Before building their company's offices over the garage it was used
for their business, but now it is a place for writing, researching, or just relaxing. "Sometimes I just like to sit up there and think creatively", Gayle states. "It’s such a pretty outside view at that window, so it’s very inspiring to me."
The table holds significance, as it was a gift from Gary when the couple were dating. Gayle has since refinished it, along with the chair. The stool was another thrift store gem which the couple repainted. Gayle creates interest on the wall by attaching pages in a whimsical fashion. She was inspired by a display she saw at a store, and replicated the look using aboriculture publications found at a flea market.
Since finishing their home over nine years ago, the last of the Schneider children have grown up and moved on, leaving a lot of extra space for house guests of all kinds. Though they have opened their home to those needing a place to stay for a while, the Schneiders do plan to downsize in a few years.
"When we do, we plan on a smaller house, but with a more pastoral setting, maybe even with a small lake," says Gayle. "Along with that, we'd like to build an event center on the property that can host weddings, creative business meetings/retreats, but can also be used at a reduced cost or free for certain charitable organizations."

From functional to fabulous, this long room provides work areas for laundry, dog grooming and elaborate entertaining. The dog grooming area consists of a handcrafted sink made from the countertop material. A large spray arm makes shampooing the pooch easier. There is a drying off area to the right. It is constructed so larger dogs can "walk" up the steps and into the sink. Tile floor makes for easy cleanup.
Plenty of cabinet storage lines the opposite wall.
