It was explicitly stated that beyond the cubicle bullpen and entry to mid-level offices, an “office furniture” look and feel was completely undesirable. Instead, topping the desirability list were: comfortable furnishings; a relaxed upscale feel; a casual collaborative meeting space for staff; a world class boardroom for hosting meetings, and a way to showcase items from the CEO’s entrepreneurial family history. Walls were moved to create a cockpit CEO office that includes a second conference table and lounge area, a new employee kitchen, a new employee lounge and an enlarged boardroom. Glass walls were used in both the reception area and the employee lounge to enhance lighting and provide a sense of spaciousness. A bold transformation from an outdated Seal Beach kitchen that felt very closed off from the rest of the home. The owners of this home sought to modernize and open up to the dining room. We created a brighter, transitional space by installing Showplace lower shaker cabinets in Indigo and upper cabinets in White and undermount sink. The owners selected Calacatta Vicenza Quartz countertops with Artisan Frost subway porcelain tile backsplash. Yacht Club Cockpit Glazed Porcelain tile flooring was installed to tie in with the rest of the hardwood flooring throughout home.

We created a custom floating staircase and added new wenge floors, silk wallcovering and a new custom sofa with white leather upholstery.

The office is designed with a wall-hung cabinet, lateral file, pedestal file and a desk-mounted upper shelf for lots of storage. The "P-shaped” peninsula is good for meeting with guests.
