This bachelor retreat features a stunning pendant and hand-tufted ottoman table. This house is warm and welcoming and perfect for intimate conversations amongst family and friends for years to come. Please take note - when using cornices, one should decide what proportion return is required. Return is the distance your material hangs away from the wall. Yes, this additionally affects the proportion. Usually, return is 3½ inches. However, larger or taller windows might need a deeper return to avoid the fabric from getting squashed against the wall. Bedroom in downtown loft with NO windows! This was the challenge Interior Designer Rebecca Robeson faced when beginning this Denver Loft Remodel. Rebecca began by identifying the focal-point wall and addressing the overall dark feel of the room. She painted 3 walls a soft grey and one wall a dark navy blue. Rebecca applied her creative genius to the space by hanging nine beveled mirrors on the dark wall above the bed as a clever way to fool the eye into thinking the mirrors were windows. To further indulge the concept, Rebecca added crisp white linen panels to mimic window treatments on either side. This design idea created a dramatic symmetrical backdrop for the Bedroom furniture... Completed in 2017, this project features midcentury modern interiors with copper, geometric, and moody accents. The design was driven by the client's attraction to a grey, copper, brass, and navy palette, which is featured in three different wallpapers throughout the home. As such, the townhouse incorporates the homeowner's love of angular lines, copper, and marble finishes. The builder-specified kitchen underwent a makeover to incorporate copper lighting fixtures, reclaimed wood island, and modern hardware. In the master bedroom, the wallpaper behind the bed achieves a moody and masculine atmosphere in this elegant "boutique-hotel-like" room. The children's room is a combination of midcentury modern furniture with repetitive robot motifs that the entire family loves. Like in children's space, our goal was to make the home both fun, modern, and timeless for the family to grow into. This project has been featured in Austin Home Magazine, Resource 2018 Issue.

An out of this world, space-themed boys room in suburban New Jersey. The color palette is navy, black, white, and grey, and with geometric motifs as a nod to science and exploration. The sputnik chandelier in satin nickel is the perfect compliment! This large bedroom offers several areas for our little client to play, including a Scandinavian style / Montessori house-shaped playhouse, a comfortable, upholstered daybed, and a cozy reading nook lined in constellations wallpaper. This adorable beach cottage is in the heart of the village of La Jolla in San Diego. The goals were to brighten up the space and be the perfect beach get-away for the client whose permanent residence is in Arizona. Some of the ways we achieved the goals was to place an extra high custom board and batten in the great room and by refinishing the kitchen cabinets (which were in excellent shape) white. We created interest through extreme proportions and contrast. Though there are a lot of white elements, they are all offset by a smaller portion of very dark elements. We also played with texture and pattern through wallpaper, natural reclaimed wood elements and rugs. This was all kept in balance by using a simplified color palate minimal layering. I am so grateful for this client as they were extremely trusting and open to ideas. A Master Bedroom washed with sunlight and tranquil color Establishing a serene gray and aqua color palette, the Master Bedroom serves as a family oasis, where our clients can share both alone time with each other and snuggle/reading time with their children. We created a seating zone flanked by a unique collage wall that documents the client’s connection to family and passion for travel. A treasured antique radio purchased by the man of the house perches on a pair of nesting tables and offers that Vintage flair that punctuates the entire home.

In the master bedroom you’ll see soft charcoal linen drapes over top a navy blue black-out shade with a sizeable black leather tufted bench in front of the bedroom window’s fabulous Schuylkill views. We incorporated an organic charcoal gray wallpaper and large scale art to add volume to the space and prevent things from feeling “minimal”. The matching dresser and nightstands (in contrasting colors) with brushed gold details have a linen texture that unifies the upholstered bed and custom window treatments. We outfitted the spacious master bathroom with a large-scale custom mirror with antique gold finishes and contrasting wall colors and updated home accessories to complete the luxurious master bath.
