Durand-Hollis Rupe ArchitectsThis new high end cosmetology school wanted an industrial environment in which to instruct their students. The space was found at the Pearl Brewery Campus, specifically in its old automotive garage building. Selective layers of featureless additions and finishes were stripped away to reveal the historic brick and steel interiors. The Architect then composed modern design elements to juxtapose against their raw backdrop.
