An outstanding collection of Art Deco furnishings, lighting, artwork, and accessories imbues this full-floor, Lake Shore Drive condominium with uncommon presence. Tailored in style and masculine in hue, it cocoons even as it welcomes light and views. Macassar ebony millwork and travertine floors evince its luxurious architectural side; sumptuous materials including silk velvet, cashmere, and shagreen articulate exquisite decorative elegance – as do pashmina draperies and parchment-covered walls. Also climbing walls: poetry, in this case written by the owner’s son and artistically hand-lettered by a local artisan. Layered in the extreme and collected over time, interiors exemplify the owner’s vocation as a jewelry designer, avocation as a world traveler, and passion for detail in measures both large and small. Embellished by a wide-ranging collection of sophisticated artworks – think everything from vintage New Yorker covers to a graphic Lichtenstein – it is a testament to the decorative power of self-assurance.

This 3,900 square foot Spanish style home was built by Sitterle Homes and designed with high ceilings, natural lighting, unique wall coverings, and contemporary interiors to show off a nice clean appeal throughout. The second floor covered balcony, large piano room and bar are just two of the many alluring areas one can forget about it all. Multiple outdoor living areas beautifully compliment a terraced rear yard design. The spacious kitchen and great room are ideal for entertaining large gatherings while the walk-thru shower of the master bathroom offer escapes resembling a trip to the spa. The distinction of style adds to the collective architectural beauty that make up the prestigious Inverness neighborhood. Located in North-central San Antonio, this three-bedroom house is only minutes from large parks, convenient shopping, healthy dining, and the Medical Center.

The pickled parquet floors and glossy white walls throw considerable light into this living room. The custom sectional is copied from a mid-Century prototype and covered with a Manual Canovas flocked velvet on linen fabric. The mid-century wall cabinet also keeps things light. The inherited Eames chair and ottoman were recovered in

Staircase and entryway renovation.
Ground-floor private entry for second floor condo. Removed carpet on stairs, sanded off glue and filled holes, added staircase skirting and trim to cover gaps along the sides of the stairs, painted treads with high-durability exterior floor paint, hand-painted new riser boards in Spanish tile designs and coordinating solid colors to cover existing chipboard risers, and applied custom-made vinyl lettering to top riser for a unique welcome home statement piece. Also painted front door and coat closet door, replaced porcelain tile entry flooring with LVP flooring to match upstairs, and replaced door handles to updated nickel finish. Also placed mirror with shelf for keys and gallery-style artwork along staircase wall. Cost of the staircase renovation was approximately equal to the cost to remove stair carpet and install LVP flooring on stairs.

Example of a mid-sized classic freestanding desk medium tone wood floor and brown floor study room design in Houston with beige walls

Largely designed by the homeowners, with adjustments by me for functionality and appearance, this home office built-in features a large hidden storage capacity with 18" deep doored upper cabinets. It also has a visible pencil drawer in the desk section, and four pullouts in the base units that are all custom sized for specific purposes, and include a letter-size file drawer. There are even doors covering a 3" deep space underneath the desk area to cover up the electrical and data cables. Existing crown molding is run across the top to tie it in visually with the room. There is vertical "fluted" trim, but without the flutes.

LETTER FOUR worked directly with the developer to create a gorgeous property. We were instrumental executing the design and in the selection of interior and exterior finishes, fixtures, cabinetry, lighting. The target buyer for this home was a young professional individual or couple looking for a modern turn-key residence with an open floor plan and indoor-outdoor living.
