Made of 300, 10-foot steel blades set upright 8 inches apart, the award winning Cor-Ten Cattails Sculptural fence was designed for a home in Berwyn, Pennsylvania as a yard sculpture that also keeps deer out.
Made of COR-TEN, a steel alloy that eliminates the need for painting and maintains a rich, dark rust color without corroding, the fence stanchions were cut with a plasma cutter from sheets of the alloy.
Each blade stands 8 feet above grade, set in concrete 3 feet below, weighs 80-90 pounds and is 5/8 inch thick. The profile of the blades is an irregular trapezoid with no horizontal connections or supports. Only the gate has two horizontal bars, and each leaf weighs 1200 pounds.

This wood ceiling needed something to tone down the grain in the planks. We were able to create a wash that did exactly that.
The floors (reclaimed red oak from a pre-Civil War barn) needed to have their different colors highlighted, not homogenized. Instead of staining the floor, we used a tung oil and beeswax finish that was hand buffed.
Our clients wanted to have reclaimed wood beams in their ceiling, but could not use true old beams as they would not be sturdy enough to support the roof. We took their fresh- cut fir beams and used synthetic plasters, paints, and glazes to give them an authentic aged look.

Studio Becker’s specialty inserts are designed for perfectly storing and accessing a wide variety of useful items, to include a variety of cutting boards -- for bread (complete with knife), for cheese (includes 2 specialty cheese knives, for fish (includes a flexible fish filet knife), as well as a multi-purpose cutting board with stainless steel handles.
A client favorite is The Sushi Set Insert which easily travels from drawer to table top. With service for eight, the set includes beech trays, crystal wasabi saucers, stainless steel chopstick rests and two crystal sake pitchers for elegant, yet practical sushi service.
Utilizing deep pull-out drawers in a kitchen space is an innovative alternative to conventional pantry storage. Now you can have instant accessibility to items that may be traditionally stored in a way that makes it difficult to see them, let alone get to. Our Storage Container System is a fabulous way to make in-drawer organizing a breeze. These handy drawer accessories are made of solid beech wood, with dovetail construction and inset carrying handles.
The Knife Insert is a convenient storage system to accommodate a large set of knives in place of a countertop knife block. This solid beech wood tray insert nestles into a drawer and is engraved to gently hold a set of 15 quality German knifes, as well as a sharpener (all included). The lateral finger grooves provide easy and safe access to each individual knife handle.

From the street, a round rock pathway leads to a small seating area next to the water with a small fire pit. Low maintenance, drought resistant and salt tolerant plantings were used in mass and clumps. This garden has become the focus of the neighborhood with many visitors stopping and enjoying what has become a neighborhood landmark. Located on the shores of Puget Sound in Washington State. Cutlery should be stored in a safe place, away from little fingers, and organized in individual slots to keep blades sharp. Our pull-outs take advantage of small kitchen spaces and can be ideally located near the food prep area. Drawers can include a slotted knife block or our specialized insert, which has individual carved compartments for each knife. The pull-out chopping block, conveniently located in the adjacent drawer, has storage space below and is removable from the drawer for countertop use.
