Living room - contemporary living room idea in Tampa with beige walls and a ribbon fireplace

Our homeowner wanted to replace her previous vent free gas fireplace. We were unable to install a vented fireplace in the space so she chose a Dimplex electric, linear fireplace, Cream Quartzite stone and Antique Beige granite hearth. We removed the old fireplace, surround, mantel and wood trim. Framed for the new fireplace. Installed the fireplace and stone panels. We worked in concert with the homeowner's AV contractor and completed the project in just a couple of days.

Complete renovation of 1960's ranch style home located in Los Altos. The design is functional modern with many stylish and unique amenities. The new design incorporates more light and views to the outside. Features of the home include vaulted ceilings, a large chef's kitchen with top of the line appliances and a more open floor plan than the original home. Sustainable features of this project include bamboo flooring, solar photovoltaic electric generation, solar hydronic hot water heating for the pool and a high efficiency tankless hot water system for the pool/exercise room.

Example of a trendy white tile bathroom design in New York with an undermount sink, flat-panel cabinets and white cabinets

This client not only needed a more contemporary look and feel, she needed a more efficient kitchen design with cabinets configured for her needs.
The island was an unnecessary barrier, too small to be useful, so we removed it to open up the space. We were able to open the space even more by relocating the sink to be in front of the window.
We used the existing hutch cabinets, but painted them a different color to brighten the room. By using two different backsplash materials we were able to make the hutch area stand out.
We removed the wall pantry and built pantry cabinets so she would have easy access to the food while cooking. We made things even more efficient by adding a pot-filler above the range so she could easily fill pots with water directly on the stove. Relocating the fridge in the corner allowed us to add balance to the room.
The black Cambrian Quartz countertop provides a nice contrast to the white cabinets. To add an interesting touch to the room we varied the cabinet hardware.

We began with a structurally sound 1950’s home. The owners sought to capture views of mountains and lake with a new second story, along with a complete rethinking of the plan.
Basement walls and three fireplaces were saved, along with the main floor deck. The new second story provides a master suite, and professional home office for him. A small office for her is on the main floor, near three children’s bedrooms. The oldest daughter is in college; her room also functions as a guest bedroom.
A second guest room, plus another bath, is in the lower level, along with a media/playroom and an exercise room. The original carport is down there, too, and just inside there is room for the family to remove shoes, hang up coats, and drop their stuff.
The focal point of the home is the flowing living/dining/family/kitchen/terrace area. The living room may be separated via a large rolling door. Pocketing, sliding glass doors open the family and dining area to the terrace, with the original outdoor fireplace/barbeque. When slid into adjacent wall pockets, the combined opening is 28 feet wide.
