Just because a room is small doesn't mean it can't have a big wow factor! This dining room could have melted away into a pass through space but we decided to make it a cheerful place to gather with shiplap paneling, a wild chevron wallpaper and overscaled mirror from OOmph. The lanterns flanking the mirror have a nautical feel. We kept the owner's lovely antique table and two chairs and added additional new comfy upholstered chairs. The rug is by JD Staron and the sconces are from Visual Comfort.

This garden path was created next to the new master bedroom addition we designed as part of the Orr Residence renovation. The curving limestone paver path is defined by the plantings. RDM and the client selected plantings that are very happy in the shade as this part of the yard gets very little direct sunlight. Karen Swanson of New England Design Works Designed this Pennville Kitchen for her own home, and it won not only the regional Sub-Zero award, but also the National Kitchen & Bath Association's medium kitchen of the year. The goal of this landscape design and build project was to create a backyard patio that incorporated brick pavers and irregular bluestone. The patio also features a hidden hatch that reveals the septic tank beneath. Irregular and oversized bluestone pavers set in the lawn link the side yard to the rear hot tub area. A traditional New England landscape palette was selected to bloom year round and provide color throughout the seasons. Designed and built by Skyline Landscapes, LLC.

ZED designed the simple, gable-roofed structure and proposed the Passive House standard. Design ideas for a traditional landscaping in San Francisco.

This house is an excellent example of Meyer & Meyer’s work transforming existing homes into classic New England shingle-style architecture. The owner’s program called for specific elements to be included in the design, including wraparound porches on the front of the house, a completely rebuilt second floor, and an addition to the north side that included a new master suite wing and library. The house sits on a high bluff with dramatic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The existing cottage’s foundation, chimney, and several window locations were retained. A pool house, family room and breezeway were added five years later.
