Bennett Contracting, Inc.
This stunning bathroom renovation in Selkirk is one of our favorites recently. Under the expert guidance of Project Manager, EJ Bonacker, and the creative vision of Designer, Sarah McDonald, our team transformed this dated bathroom into a luxurious spa-like retreat! We worked diligently to meet the client’s desire for a modern update while ensuring ample storage and a relaxing showering experience. By reimagining the layout, we optimized the available square footage, allowing for a generous shower footprint. With more space, we were able to plan a double sink with a center tower to stow away all the bathroom necessities. A soothing and soft color palette was carefully selected to create a calm and serene ambiance, promoting relaxation and tranquility. The custom ledge in the shower not only adds a touch of elegance, but serves a practical purpose as home for soaps, shampoos and other bathing necessities kept within easy reach. We are incredibly proud of this renovation and are looking forward to getting started on their other bathroom this fall. Let us help you create the perfect oasis in your home!
Beecraft Pty Ltd
Sensational location on the Northern Beaches overlooking Newport Beach, this alterations and additions project was a fun one for the Beecraft team. Whilst working throughout the whole home, the main features included a new cellar, laundry, outdoor entertainment area, and living room. The outdoor area is one of our favourites with everything you need to keep the family and guests comfortable - spacious seating, 10 burner BBQ, mini bar fridges, sandstone feature and white cabinetry, all situated by the pool (not pictured). The cellar is beautifully custom designed using cedar timber wine racks, sandstone tiles and a marble bench top. Open up the large cedar cellar doors to a double wine fridge and heaps of storage. As far as laundries go, this one is pretty neat! Plenty of room with sandstone tiles, timber shelves and Smeg appliances. You'll find even more sandstone in the new family room as the feature wall and fireplace. The subtly consistent use of sandstone throughout this home is gorgeous, with matching walls, feature walls and flooring. A beautiful beaches home.

Reico Kitchen & Bath
Designed by Jens Bunte of Reico Kitchen & Bath, this transitional style kitchen design features Merillat Classic cabinets in the Spring Valley door style in Mist with a Desert Glaze finish except for the kitchen island cabinets, which hand finished by the clients’ contractor. The kitchen also features a Cambria Montgomery countertop on the perimeter of the kitchen and a Caesarstone London Grey Honed countertop on the kitchen island.
For Jens working with the clients was a pleasure. “Their attention to detail was such a breath of fresh air and it really was all of the little things that brought this design together and turned it into such a special space. My favorite aspects of this project really came down to the details: a custom-designed bar area that doubles as functional storage space; the use of additional doors and trim to match their recessed pantry to the rest of the kitchen and really bring the space together; the use of Honey Bronze hardware and French Wire on some of the doors to add details that impacted the overall look. They were so gracious and patient during the COVID-19 pandemic and truly embodied what it means to work as a team when it comes to the client-designer-contractor relationship.”
Added the client, “Jens was a joy to work with. We discussed budget for the project, and she guided us to the cabinet options that would work best for us. When it came to countertops, Reico’s selection was incredible. Jens kept us fully informed at every step. We love everything that she helped us with.”

SLN Painting Sydney
This Californian bungalow was completed in record time just before Christmas by our House Painters Mosman team. Working around other trades to have the interior finished in two weeks was going to be a challenge.
The house was still original on the front half downstairs retaining existing windows, doors and architraves. As a result there was plenty of prep work before we started painting.
The owners and designer chose a bold colour for the walls which highlighted the woodwork.
In the end this was one of our favorite recently completed jobs as enjoyed seeing the finished product when there is so much detail.
SLN Painting is a Sydney based and Australian owned business.
David Salisbury
This oak orangery with tiled mansard roof is the latest design from one of David Salisbury’s most creative sales designers, that has elicited a very positive review and testimonial.
The quality of his design work is one of Dan Featherstone’s many strengths and this orangery, with its elegant proportions and symmetrical design, is another good example. As our customer noted: “Dan was a highly creative and skilled designer and created a concept that was complementary to our home and we just knew it was the right thing for us.”
The new orangery has transformed the rear of this period red brick property in East Yorkshire, creating a far more effective link with the garden with its large expanse of lawn. A pair of French Doors provide quick and convenient access to the outside.
The overhead roof lantern helps bring in natural overhead light, perfect for reading the newspapers or a favourite book on the customer’s comfortable looking contemporary grey sofas.
The additional space created means there’s room for recreation, as well as relaxation, with table football a popular family game.
Our customer really helps tell the story of this project: “We moved into our dream home and we felt it lacked just something extra special so we decided some type of orangery would finish off our home. We spent many hours reviewing the market available and decided to contact David Salisbury to discuss the option of a new oak orangery. We had already spoken with many other companies but we soon realised that their attention to detail set them apart from the competition.”
Whilst the initial design is obviously vital, the manufacturing and installation phases of this oak orangery (like any building project) were just as important. “The installation process went extremely smoothly and we had regular communication from the David Salisbury project management team throughout - they answered all questions immediately,” the customer noted.
Regular communication is important in managing a customer’s expectation so it is always gratifying to read of feedback like this.
This is the latest successful oak orangery in what is now a significant area of growth for David Salisbury.
It feels only right to leave the last word to our customer: “The finished product is even better than we could have imagined and really has made a fantastic space that is enjoyed by the whole family. If you are considering an orangery extension for your home, we would happily recommend David Salisbury without hesitation.”

With such a wonderfully high ceiling fitted with VELUX windows, and perfectly positioned sliding doors at the rear of the extension, this kitchen is flooded with natural light, enhanced by the well chosen colour palette of the room. Prior to the start of the works on site, this empty room gave our design team the 'wow factor', and this is definitely one of our favourite kitchens we have had the opportunity to design and create.

Carmichael Ave: Custom Modern Home Build
We’re excited to finally share pictures of one of our favourite customer’s project. The Rahimi brothers came into our showroom and consulted with Jodi for their custom home build. At Castle Kitchens, we are able to help all customers including builders with meeting their budget and providing them with great designs for their end customer. We worked closely with the builder duo by looking after their project from design to installation. The final outcome was a design that ensured the best layout, balance, proportion, symmetry, designed to suit the style of the property. Our kitchen design team was a great resource for our customers with regard to mechanical and electrical input, colours, appliance selection, accessory suggestions, etc. We provide overall design services! The project features walnut accents all throughout the house that help add warmth into a modern space allowing it be welcoming.
Castle Kitchens was ultimately able to provide great design at great value to allow for a great return on the builders project. We look forward to showcasing another project with Rahimi brothers that we are currently working on soon for 2017, so stay tuned!
STAK Architecture
Nestled in a historic residential neighborhood this 1950s Baptist Church was outgrown by its congregation. The building was left unused for 12 years until it was adapted for reuse as a single family home. The home, for a young family of four, was designed with the healthy building principles in mind. The completed house is net zero ready, meaning that all of the systems necessary to convert this house to a net zero home are in place, all that is needed are solar panels. Though the original building was in very rough shape, the design team worked hard to retain as much of the original form as possible. The addition distinguishes itself from the original through materiality and structural articulation. The new form hovers on cantilevers, creating a light touch with the ground plane, in contrast to the heavy form of the original masonry structure. Even though the new building has a modern aesthetic it had to conform to some of the historic neighborhood ordinances of the city. The completed product is loved by the neighborhood, with many people taking their evening walks to pass by their new favorite house.

This stunning waterfront property in Annapolis was built to fulfill a newly retired couple’s vision of a dream home. After a complete gut from the ground up, our team finished a custom design and rebuild of this three-story home including a detached two-car garage on the property. The owners say two of their favorite parts of their new oasis is the natural light that comes through the many windows and of course, being able to enjoy their sailboat parked on the water just a few steps away. We were honored to win Best Exterior Use of Color for Baltimore Magazine's Home & Design Awards for this project!
HOPE DESIGNS
This turn of the century Victorian home was definitely a labour of love for the Hope Designs Team! We couldn't get enough of the exposed brick walls, onsite finished dark expresso hardwood floors and glass railings, not to mention the 5 fully appointed spa bathrooms!
This 4 story beauty was literally gutted from the inside out right down to the studs.
A rare find in the heart of Toronto's Little Italy. What a stunner, it is truly a work of art we designed it in our favourite style.... a hip contemporary urban vibe with a rustic country twist.
"HD STYLE where casual meets contemporary, sophisticated country meets city"

A detached Edwardian villa set over three storeys, with the master suite on the top floor, four bedrooms (one en-suite) and family bathroom on the first floor and a sitting room, snug, cloakroom, utility, hall and kitchen-diner leading to the garden on the ground level.
With their children grown up and pursuing further education, the owners of this property wanted to turn their home into a sophisticated space the whole family could enjoy.
Although generously sized, it was a typical period property with a warren of dark rooms that didn’t suit modern life. The garden was awkward to access and some rooms rarely used. As avid foodies and cooks, the family wanted an open kitchen-dining area where the could entertain their friends, with plentiful storage and a connection to the garden.
Our design team reconfigured the ground floor and added a small rear and side extension to open the space for a huge kitchen and dining area, with a bank of Crittall windows leading to the garden (redesigned by Ruth Willmott).
Ultra-marine blue became the starting point for the kitchen and ground floor design – this fresh hue extends to the garden to unite indoors and outdoors.
Bespoke cabinetry designed by HUX London provides ample storage, and on one section beautiful fluted glass panels hide a TV. The cabinetry is complemented by a spectacular book-matched marble splash-back, and timber, parquet flooring, which extends throughout the ground floor.
The open kitchen area incorporates a glamorous dining table by Marcel Wanders, which the family use every day.
Now a snug, this was the darkest room with the least going for it architecturally. A cool and cosy space was created with elegant wall-panelling, a low corner sofa, stylish wall lamps and a wood-burning stove. It’s now ¬the family’s favourite room, as they gather here for movie nights.
The formal sitting room is an elegant space where the family plays music. A sumptuous teal sofa, a hand-knotted silk and wool rug and a vibrant abstract artwork bring a fresh feel.
This teenager’s bedroom with its taupe palette, luxurious finishes and study area has a grown-up vibe, and leads to a gorgeous marble-clad en-suite bathroom.
The couple now have their own dedicated study, with a streamlined double desk and bespoke cabinetry.
In the master suite, the sloping ceilings were maximised with bespoke wardrobes by HUX London, while a calming scheme was created with soft, neutral tones and rich textures.
D. A. Dunlevy
A Rooftop for Endless Entertainment Possibilities.
High above Georgetown, a very private terrace needed a very big transformation. Our client wanted a multi-functional space that would allow for different entertaining situations. Faced with tricky access and stringent building requirements, the design team needed to create a plan that followed the rules and delighted the client.
We approached this project by designing multiple outdoor “rooms.” Custom-built structures were combined with beautiful plantings, which softened the clean architectural lines and added visual separation. An Ipe-clad outdoor kitchen with grill, refrigerator, and wine cooler was built on site, as was the impressive custom dining table with concrete top. The smaller lounging area provides a more intimate place to gather, and the raised Ipe deck includes more lounge space, a fire pit, and city views. The rooftop golf green adds a playful and unexpected element. This special outdoor space is sure to be a favorite for the homeowner, and an unforgettable social spot for guests.

Sunset Heights Renovation
This Victorian style home was beautifully designed from the interior to the exterior. Our clients were looking to update the outdoor space, not only was it not functional, but it did not complement their Victorian home.
Although we had a yearlong waiting list for design, our clients were patient and hired us for 3D design.
Many times, our clients already have all the components in place, such as a pool, outdoor kitchen, fireplace, pergola etc., but they just don’t feel right.
The most important feature of our client’s new space was not only the components, but to be able to have a space that would allow them to create a lifetime of memories. From a visual perspective their existing space seemed limited and confined. Our design team was able to see past this and expanded its space to its full potential which allowed us to create multiple destinations for relaxation, enjoyment and most importantly entertainment.
As we began the design process, we were able to take a closer look at the existing space and noticed many safety concerns and how the existing materials did not accentuate the home either.
At the completion of their 3D design, we were able to present new ideas and materials that would enhance the value of the home as well as help them visualize the new space created with multiple destinations.
Ivory travertine coping & decking was a must as was the Talavera blue highlighted tiles for the newly renovated pool. A new working spa and functional outdoor kitchen with bar were two spaces we are sure they would enjoy while spending time outdoors. We enlarged the existing covered patio to expand the seating area to include chaise lounges, a loveseat and chairs under the pergola shade accent.
Newest favorite additions are the gas firepit and cabin play fort which can be highly utilized year-round. Our clients say, “The adults love hanging out in the fort too!”
Nestled in the Historic District, our client’s home is now filled with plenty of space and great energy for family gatherings, parties, watching sports, graduations and so much more. Who knows, maybe a future wedding or two! Memories of a lifetime will be made here for years to come!
Architecture and lifestyle are always our focus when designing feel good and functional spaces for our clients!

Elite Metalcraft Co. Ltd
This stunning project meets the very modern brief perfectly. The balustrade looks
beautiful and the pillar box red colour has become a firm favourite within our
Team. We’re thrilled at how our modern design highlights the elegance of this old
family home in the heart of London.
The design and seamless installation means that the new staircase looks integral
to the original build, despite its innovative design and modern materials.

This amazing beach house was in desperate need of a refresh. Our clients had a vision of how they wanted their home to look, but didn't quite know how to get there. A complete renovation was the solution.
Our team went to work creating a classic design, including a new modern kitchen. We used a light gray shaker cabinet on the perimeter with a dark stained shaker on the island. Contrasting quartz counter tops with a drop miter edge add interest and texture. Blown glass pendant lights illuminate the island, while LED under cabinet lighting is used to create ambiance throughout the kitchen.
Custom upholstery including sofas, chairs and ottomans in warm grays, browns whites and blues create generous seating areas in the common living spaces.. A built in bench seat piled with cozy pillows lets you take in the beautiful sunsets and water views.
We love the use of reclaimed barnwood on this project. We used planks with worn crackled paint on the partition wall in the master bed room, vintage stained wood for the laundry room barndoor and thick timbers for the fireplace mantle and floating wall shelves.
Lots of salvaged coastal treasures and sea glass are used to accessorize the home and give it that little extra touch.
Our clients just loved the final result, and its certainly one of our favorites as well!

Our client wanted to create a 1800's hunting cabin inspired man cave, all ready for his trophy mounts and fun display for some of his antiques and nature treasures. We love how this space came together - taking advantage of even the lowest parts of the available space within the existing attic to create lighted display boxes. The crowing glory is the secret entrance through the bookcase - our favorite part!
