Basement game room focused on retro style games, slot machines, pool table. Owners wanted an open feel with a little more industrial and modern appeal, therefore we left the ceiling unfinished. The floors are an epoxy type finish that allows for high traffic usage, easy clean up and no need to replace carpet in the long term.

Off the front foyer, we opened up the game room by adding eccentric marble columns to the entrance. This bright room has all new windows encased with beautiful moldings to add to the dramatic look. To highlight the shape of the client’s pool table, we added a multi-colored tray ceiling.

The lower level transformed into a Gaming and Lounge area, Media Room, Powder Room, and Exercise Room. A Scrabble board surrounded by swivel chairs provides a unique way to host game night. New ceiling beams and arched cased openings separate the Lounge from the Game area. The custom Banquette’s faux window anchors the space and illuminates the room.

Finished Basement - If you’ve recently made an addition to your family, but aren’t ready to add an addition to your home, why not start by redesigning the space you already have? This charming living space began as a blank, unfinished basement. With the help of our expert design team, this Brighton, MI family turned their once boring basement into a deluxe playroom for the kids and grown-ups alike. The Egress windows brighten the room in a cost-effective and eco-friendly manner while broad arches throughout the basement create a European style feel. For the kids, we added a game room and playroom with open shelving for toy storage. For the adults, the media room and deluxe wet bar – complete with new maple cabinetry, Pergo floors and choice granite countertops - are must have features for the family that entertains.

In this combination living room/ family room, form vs function is at it's best.. Formal enough to host a cocktail party, and comfortable enough to host a football game. The wrap around sectional accommodates 5-6 people and the oversized ottoman has room enough for everyone to put their feet up! The high back, stylized wing chair offers comfort and a lamp for reading. Decorative accessories are placed in the custom built bookcases freeing table top space for drinks, books, etc. Magazines and current reading are neatly placed in the rattan tray for easy access. The overall neutral color palette is punctuated by soft shades of blue around the room.
