It was the homeowner’s request that the fireplace be placed in the wine tasting room. The homeowner wanted to have the ability to warm the room temporarily to a comfortable temperature for occasional dinners a few times a year. Otherwise, the room is kept cool to protect the wine. Additionally, this building is detached from the main house, so the fireplace maintains the temperature above freezing when necessary in the winter months.

The rooms in this compact and colourful family home feel spacious thanks to soaring ceilings and large windows. The bold artwork served as inspiration for the decor of the home's tiny main floor that includes a front entrance, living room, dining room and kitchen all in just under 600 square feet. This home is featured in the Spring 2013 issue of Canadian Home Trends Magazine. Interior Design by Lori Steeves of Simply Home Decorating.Photo by Jonathan Hayward

These beautiful, metallic globe lights add a contemporary element to this otherwise quaint and cozy traditional kitchen. The copper color of the pendant lights pairs well with the peach and gray color scheme of the room.

The Hasserton is a sleek take on the waterfront home. This multi-level design exudes modern chic as well as the comfort of a family cottage. The sprawling main floor footprint offers homeowners areas to lounge, a spacious kitchen, a formal dining room, access to outdoor living, and a luxurious master bedroom suite. The upper level features two additional bedrooms and a loft, while the lower level is the entertainment center of the home. A curved beverage bar sits adjacent to comfortable sitting areas. A guest bedroom and exercise facility are also located on this floor.

This Orangery provides the finishing touches to a completely renovated Georgian rectory in Lincolnshire.
An open-plan kitchen extension is created by removing the wall between the two spaces, also allowing light to flood into the once-dark kitchen area.
The result is a much-used room which is enjoyed by the whole family at all times of the day.
A small built-in dining table makes meal times a pleasure, whilst experiencing the atmosphere of the orangery.

Architecture and interior design go hand in hand. Our highest priority is the quality of the space and The Retreat presented unique design opportunities. Bathed in natural light, the shower, which includes a re-circulating waterfall, occupies the center of the room, wrapped in cedar. The “tree”, which represents the earth, envelops water, the source of life. The remaining functions line the perimeter of the room.
All the materials in the room are sustainable in accordance with current practices. The furniture is sustainable. The fabrics are sustainable. Even the art is sustainable! There is no excess, just the necessary components to create an inviting and comfortable environment to promote relaxation and well-being.
Simple, clean, and contemporary, the Retreat is a place to unwind, take a nap, read, meditate – whichever your favorite way to relieve stress – indoors.

This bonus room was being used as an exercise room by the homeowners. Since the closets were transformed into home work area, we decided to stage it as such, to showcase the potential usages of this room.

The scale of this room is massive, but the views and architectural details are spectacular. So the staging needed to be equal to those aspects. The clients are thrilled!

This 1990s brick home had decent square footage and a massive front yard, but no way to enjoy it. Each room needed an update, so the entire house was renovated and remodeled, and an addition was put on over the existing garage to create a symmetrical front. The old brown brick was painted a distressed white.
The 500sf 2nd floor addition includes 2 new bedrooms for their teen children, and the 12'x30' front porch lanai with standing seam metal roof is a nod to the homeowners' love for the Islands. Each room is beautifully appointed with large windows, wood floors, white walls, white bead board ceilings, glass doors and knobs, and interior wood details reminiscent of Hawaiian plantation architecture.
The kitchen was remodeled to increase width and flow, and a new laundry / mudroom was added in the back of the existing garage. The master bath was completely remodeled. Every room is filled with books, and shelves, many made by the homeowner.
