A love affair with the ocean and coastal get-aways inspired the makeover of this breezy and inviting hearth room. Creating a dramatic focal point, the fireplace was custom-built with a stacked stone surround, stone corbels, and flush limestone hearth and is flanked by built-in cabinets topped with matching limestone. Covered in off-white indoor-outdoor fabric, the matching side chairs invite conversation with those seated on the curvaceous green sofa featuring turquoise blue welt. The industrial cart as coffee table is a punch of surprise while also adding to the easy-breezy nature of the room. Additional blue accents appear on the Chinese garden stool and the framed tropical-themed painting behind the sofa. This study off the kitchen acts as a control center for the family. Kids work on computers in open spaces, not in their rooms. Green linoleum covers the desk for a durable and cleanable surface. The master bathroom is finished in carrera marble and features a large enclosed walk-in steam shower. Large split vanities with sitting area for the lady. Both vanities are flanked by two sconces installed in the mirrors (only one sconce may be visible on the left because of the angle of the picture). If there was one thing we would have done differently, we would have added a third sconce to flank the sitting area, but could not be added once the mirrors were installed. Vanities are pre-fab with feet and several other small additions to give them a custom look and feel.
