Most people would jump at an opportunity like this and Serene Steam has invented and designed innovative methods to create a complete wellness environment producing heat, steam/hot vapor infused with your choice of Essential Oils for the ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation as an elegant stand-alone unit installed in your shower enclosure .
Serene Steam is bringing innovation to the wellness culture. The way we perceive and gauge relaxation is about to change with a Serene Steam spa system. Now you have the perfect opportunity to pamper yourself in your personal shower enclosure with a beautifully designed spa system which produces a hot and humid spa environment.
Benefits - A hot steam spa, or steam shower environment has a physiological effect on the body which is very similar to that of a sauna. The hot vapors and heat may open up the pores, increases the metabolism, elevates the heart rate, and the body begins to sweat. This can result in health benefits, especially when a hot steamy environment is used safely and frequently (please read precautions). Some spas have also introduced the use of Aromatherapy in their systems to provide additional health benefits and relax clients. Enjoy a Serene Steam Spa system in your own shower enclosure.
Clearer skin - May improve the clarity of their skin over time.
Stress relief - One of the most powerful benefits may be the ability to reduce both physical and mental stress.
Metabolism and weight loss - In some instances, a hot steamy environment can even assist with weight management due to heavier perspiration.
WHY CONSIDER A SERENE STEAM SPA SYSTEM?
The fundamental reason among others, is that Serene Steam does not require any generators, nor any electricity at all. Rather, It is an impressive alternative to bulky electrical generators and has been certified by IAPMO for easy installation by a qualified plumber or contractor. A Serene Steam Spa system brings a moist heat, Essential Oils infused steam/Spa experience into your existing shower enclosure and generally requires basic installation.
Unlike competitors who require generators and an electrical supply to create a hot spa environment, (also known as a steam shower, wet sauna and alike), Serene Steam only requires the two primary connections which already exist in every bathroom - A water supply, and a drain, that's it. There are also no extra "a la carte" expenses required (other than basic plumbing parts) after you have purchased a Serene Steam Spa system. Everything is ready out of the box and only requires basic off the shelf plumbing fittings to install. You may require an additional spa bench for your new spa (not included).
All models are inclusive of our patented steam/hot vapor feature, a Bluetooth Audio system for music and phone calls, and a dedicated Aromatherapy feature for using Essential oils . When constructing a shower enclosure to use with any steam product, or alike, the type of wall materials which you use may also have an impact on the shower enclosure temperature and the time required to reach optimal comfort, please check with your local contractor. Remember, regardless of which steam system you use, all shower enclosures must be steam ready, and your local contractor or plumber should know how to seal your shower enclosure correctly to avoid the hot water vapors from exiting your shower enclosure during use.
PREFERRED SHOWER SIZE:
During use, Serene Steam provides an impressive amount of steam/hot vapor to occupy most standard shower enclosures, However, as with most steam shower enclosures, the smaller the area, the more effective the heat will feel.
With Serene Steam there is no specific size shower required due to the way it functions, also bearing in mind that with a movable spa bench (not included) it is possible to position yourself within any desired location should you have an extra-large/nonstandard shower enclosure. The diagram below should be a good indication of the preferred size of your shower enclosure. Please note that not all shower enclosures will provide the exact same results.

Artemide's design and research team focuses on developing quality and long-lasting products.
Utilization of recyclable materials is high priority in our process of conceiving new design.
80% of our lights are energy efficient fluorescent or LED lighting.
But what's more green than having a beautifully crafted light that continues to function well and looks stunning decades from now
The Artemide light has never been solely a function of seeing, or an opportunity for formal experimentation with lamps as objects. For more than forty years, Artemide has aimed to propose light as a companion to people, as a source of physical pleasure and mental comfort. Artemide has done so, with different work groups, searching through the whole design process, starting with a declaration of values - The human light.
Beyond the definition, the human light is intelligent light. A light that knows it has to relate to people, accompanying them in their daily activities. That is why Artemide's attention today is concentrated on the concept of the context of life, understood as a specific microenvironment in which an event occurs where one or more persons are the protagonist, every context of life can be associated with different light contexts, or the different atmospheres of light characterized by the activities that, at various moments of the day, have us as protagonists, starting from these contexts and the lighting conditions that characterize them, Artemide proposes products capable of meeting people's multiple needs and offering the light performance characteristics most suited to each moment of life, it is light that is flexible and adaptable, which produces the optimum visual precision, and consumes the minimum environmental resources, it is Artemide light.
The Artemide group, founded by Ernesto Gismondi in 1959, today operates throughout the world, with 16 subsidiaries and affiliated companies, and 35 exclusive distributors. They have production centers in Italy, France, Germany, the USA, Hungary and the Czech Republic. In a policy aimed at satisfying all lighting needs, the Artemide group has recently acquired companies that reinforce its position as a world leader and further diversifies the offerings. For contexts of life, Artemide offers not only lamps for moments of relaxation at home, but also large sophisticated installations for lighting public and private professional activities.
Technological and productive expertise is achieved through research and development centers, with the product planning and engineering section, laboratories for technical conformity and self-certification tests, and production units equipped with avant-garde processes. A production structure that can offer expertise in the processing of traditional materials such as glass, as well as the capacity for innovation with recently introduced materials such as titanium. Lighting performance characteristics extend from a light with atmosphere, variable, colored, to the most precise of lights for community environments. The vast range of options reflects the commitment of the whole organization to provide a product guaranteed by the Artemide brand, throughout the world, with an image that is strong and consistent - That of a leader in the lighting industry.
Rezek, an Artemide brand, with product development and manufacturing in the United States. Founded by designer Ron Rezek in 1978, the Rezek company has gained strong recognition and appreciation among the architectural and interior design community for the distinctly creative design and quality construction of its American made lighting products for residential and commercial applications.

A modern single-family house is located in the northern downtown neighborhood of Palo Alto, a vibrant area surrounded by single-family homes. It was designed with an innovative, modular structural system and sustainable design principles. This residential building not only performs its basic tasks in terms of functional performance, physical comfort, and aesthetic values but it also acts as a mental mediation between space and our mind. The perception of the space created is not a sum of the visual, tactile, and audible elements but in unique way speaks to all your senses at once, creating experience of completeness. photo by Drew Kelly

In the heart of Turin, just few steps from Piazza San Carlo, the noble baroque style of the historic Palazzo Valperga meets the most elegant and innovative modern architecture, offering the ideal housing model, suitable for your lifestyle. Located in one of the most beautiful streets of the capital of Savoy, Palazzo Valperga entirely renovated and brought back to its essential shape, embellished with systems, infrastructure and finishes capable of improving functionality without compromising the original historic appearance, represents the new address of prestige.
The distribution of the interior spaces organised around the 17th-century nucleus and the clever design of the late 18th-century façade, gives the Palazzo suggestive shapes and curves with a single overall architectural style. Valperga built it in 1663. In the eighteenth century it was restructured and enlarged by the architect Barberis who enriched the original structure.
In the nineteenth century, thanks to the lawyer Gattino, the building finally took its place as a noble’s seat and a place of prestigious cultural value in Turin. Although later renovated for the new public and institutional function acquired, the building has kept its beauty and elegance intact, further embellished with decorative elements of great value which revived its original vocation as a home of great prestige. The new renovation is designed to highlight the shapes and geometries of one of the most fascinating buildings in the capital of Savoy. The extraordinarily sober floor plan created by Valperga and the new and sophisticated solutions adopted by Barberis, have been recovered in a contemporary way to meet the needs of new generations. All apartments, offices and common areas have been brought back to their essential form, restored and redeveloped, with facilities, infrastructure and finishes that enhance functionality and comfort, with a special focus on healthy living without compromising but rather extolling the original appearance, so full of charm, history and culture. Comfort, innovation and construction quality closely connected to safety, the environment and a welcoming atmosphere. The designers of Number 6 worked closely with environmental experts, light artists, agronomists, system engineers and specialised technicians with the intent of finding the best solutions for maximum well-being. A revolutionary project. One of the best examples of green building, respect for cultural heritage, technology, elegance and aesthetic taste.
The aim of the Number 6 project is to take comfort to the highest levels, increase safety, save energy and reduce operating costs through the use of modern home automation technology.
The automation of the building allows you to manage all the services, with financial and organisational benefits. Water distribution, electricity, V/satellite signal, heating and air conditioning, safety, contacts with staff and reservations for the fitness area, are directly managed and coordinated through a sophisticated computerised internal communication network. Number 6 includes sites dedicated to wellness, entertainment and leisure, reserved for the owners and their friends and family.
A modern Beauty Spa located in the building welcomes tenants in an elegant and comfortable environment, with different types of treatments and equipment. The green spaces with specifically designed flavours and fragrances make for pleasant and relaxing walks.
Aspects and solutions for the mental-physical well-being of the people who will have the privilege of living in the complex.
For the renovation of this building, the most advanced technology has been chosen for each space, without neglecting any aspect related to comfort, style and energy saving. The residence, with 5 floors and two mezzanine floors, covers an area of 6,500 square metres and is composed of 36 apartments and 36 underground parking spaces.
It was not possible to obtain an adequate number of parking spaces using the surface area available, therefore vertical space was taken advantage of to create six levels of underground parking.
The technology that allows you to carry the cars to the floors of the garage in harmony with the philosophy of the building consists of two electrically operated IdealPark car lifts. The advantages of this solution translate both to energy savings and system performance, significantly faster than hydraulic technology and operation using the same power.
IdealPark car lifts, with fully electric operation, are equipped with a device for energy recovery similar to KERS used in Formula One.
During the descent of the equipment, the electrical power produced, about 40% of the engine power, is totally recovered and made available to users. The engines feature electric brakes and inverter drive with vector control.
The electrical operation saves energy and makes the electric car lift an eco-friendly solution ideal for high elevation, intense traffic and a large quantity of cars. These systems with two side columns are in fact suitable for travels up to 50 m and do not require a specific machine room because the control panel can be placed anywhere.
The car lifts installed in the Palazzo have a capacity of 2,700 kg and their platforms are 270 cm wide and 540 cm long. The systems cover a vertical distance of 13.5 m at a speed of 0.41 m/s without load and 0.23 m/s at full load with a 15 kW motor. The closures consist of 6 automatic aluminium rolling shutters red painted.
These systems are equipped with every comfort: from remote control for calling directly from the street, to a display on each floor that indicates the position of the elevator to software programmed to minimise waiting times. This software allows you to call the closest system and make the platform available depending on the flow of traffic: it will be in the underground floors when outbound traffic is expected and will be automatically available at the entrance at times where you return and park.

The Cheshire Garden Design Studio
The Large Country Garden in Cheshire – The Wellness Garden
Gardeners understand that tending to a garden offers more than just healing. Gardens activate the senses and have a positive influence on our mood and overall well-being. With the NHS promoting social prescribing and the rise of wellness gardens in our communities, The Cheshire Garden Design Studio was a pioneer in designing a garden for Ian and Tracy’s beautiful former farmhouse that acknowledges the connection between gardening and both physical and mental health.
The garden's ever-changing landscape provides a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and serves as a potent remedy for the growing sense of overwhelm in today's world. The process of planting seeds and witnessing their growth, along with forming a bond with the earth and its inhabitants while aligning with natural seasons and cycles, fosters a naturally meditative environment.
There is a tranquility in the garden that is unique. With our hands in the soil, surrounded by plants, shrubs, and trees, and fully immersed in the present, merely stepping out our back door into this green sanctuary allows us to lose ourselves in nature and rediscover our true selves. Alongside our gardens, we can nurture and heal.
Drawing architectural inspiration from Arley Hall’s herbaceous border, The Long Border features a stunning, vibrant color palette. Taking cues from Biddulph Grange’s renowned Dahlia Walk, the presence of yew trees, cuboids, domes, and hedges creates a theme of continuity throughout the various gardens.
The Patio, Pergola, and Pod reflect The Cheshire Garden Design Studio’s exceptional design vision, creating communal spaces that foster social interaction during gatherings, as well as private nooks for solitude and reflection. This remarkable garden landscape offers areas that cater to every emotional need.
The Winter Garden provides essential bursts of color and visual interest that uplift both the landscape and mood, even on the darkest days, with plants that attract birds and native wildlife.
The Parterre, a formal garden, features classic box hedging that beautifully complements the home’s architecture, contrasting with the flowing form of the Woodland Walk, shaped like an infinity symbol, subtly reminding us to seek balance while strolling the path, with white-stemmed birches as an appealing focal point, inspired by Tate Modern.
The Cheshire Garden Design Studio seamlessly merges architecture, landscape, and human experience into an enchanting narrative, creating a collection of garden rooms that are intricately connected yet at the forefront of innovative garden design.
The transformation of The Paddock into a Kitchen Garden inspired by Rhode Hall, along with the development of The Orchard and The Wildlife Pond, marks the next chapter in this garden's evolution. With Ian, the mindful gardener, and Jane Bingham from The Cheshire Garden Design Studio guiding the way, the future of this garden is undoubtedly secure.
