Front yard mid century landscape with native Carex Divulsa grasses. A meadow-like lawn area with the use of native grasses saves on water usage. Situated behind the Carex is Stipa tenuissima and Phormium Amazing Red. Adjacent to the house is a raised vegetable garden.

This beautiful vertical Reed glass interior decorative door offers obscurity and modern appeal for residential applications. This fluted glass door is a great choice for kitchens, laundry rooms, offices and any room where style and light is desired, but not full visibility. The Reed style door is offered in a variety of 9 wood species to compliment any interior including: primed white, pine, oak, knotty pine, fir, maple, knotty alder, cherry and African mahogany. Optional 8-foot tall doors are available in primed white and pine species only. Design ideas for a mid-sized transitional shade backyard gravel garden path in New York for spring.

APLD 2022 Award Winning Landscape Design. We designed and installed this dramatic living wall / vertical garden to add a welcoming focal point, and a great way to add living beauty to the large front house wall. The wall includes a variety of succulents, grass-like and cascading plants some with flowers, (some with flowers, Oxalis, Heuchera designed to provide long cascading "waves" with appealing textures and colors. The dated walkway was updated with large geometric concrete pavers with polished black pebbles in between, and a new concrete driveway. Water-wise grasses flowering plants and succulents replace the lawn. This updated modern renovation for this mid-century modern home includes a new garage and front entrance door and modern garden light fixtures. We completely renovated a simple low-lying house for a university family by opening the back side with large windows and a wrap-around patio. The kitchen counter extends to the exterior, enhancing the sense of openness to the outside. Large overhanging soffits and horizontal cedar siding keep the house from overpowering the view and help it settle into the landscape. This sloped hillside has been transformed into a beautiful tapestry of colors and textures present in every season. I specified drought tolerant plants and shrubs that are low-water, low maintenance and deer resistant. Located in Novato, CA - Marin County. Some photos were taken just after installation and others 2 couple of years later.
