Family in need of more space converted their attached 2 car garage into a new family/play room. Convenient to the kitchen and laundry, we bumped out the 16' garage door opening and raised the floor to meet the interior spaces. Bump out finished as a nice bright bay window.

In the kitchen we used high-gloss white cabinets and white quartz composite countertops for a clean, modern look. The backsplash is plate glass as is the backside of the island. We added a touch of color with turquoise bookshelves at the edge of the pantry wall. A Miele appliance suite with a built-in espresso machine complete the high tech space. To keep the space airy and bring in natural light we installed transom windows above the cabinets.

Our clients contacted us after 12 years as they were starting a new home project & building a kitchen extension. They knew they wanted to have a contemporary Leicht design again as knew it was ‘built to last.’ Noel was happy to work with them once again on their new kitchen design.
The brief was to create a seamless flow between the cooking & storage area’s to make it as warm & open as possible. Noel designed a combination of open & closed storage to meet this & placed the bar area specifically to connect the adjoining room for when hosting parties.
The client already had an idea for the colour scheme & suggested petrol blue or carbon grey for the furniture. Noel worked with the client helping & advising throughout.
Leicht Midnight Blue units for the man kitchen & Manhattan units for the island were chosen along with a 30mm Caesarstone worktop.

The Soda coffee table is designed by Yiannis Ghikas for sought after Italian brand Miniforms. Available in two sizes.
Soda was born in a Murano furnace where each table is blown, drawn-out and shaped by three master glass-makers. They are equipped with a complex system of burners to keep the same temperature throughout the mould, which is essential to give a hammered feeling to the texture.
The end result is a table weighing 20 kilos consisting of a single volume of glass with three large petals forming the stem. Its tough, hammered surface fragments its transparency to display its artisan aesthetic. Art meets industrial design.
Pictured here in petrol green blown glass, it is also available in amber blown glass.
