I asked a few questions to understand the Client's preferable style and favorite colors. She expected fresh colors with some Lilac accents. The room wasn't very big and airy. That is why I suggested to use the the wall murals with the perspective and horizontal line, which will make this room visually deeper and wider. I found this great wallcoverings with the Spring, or summer forest motives. Very important moment is that you can see the forest lit by the bright sun. Very positive mood of this wall mural made this room sunny and airy. I used the colors of Nature: Tree foliage colors in combination with a dark woods. I selected the rug, with repeats blossoming flowers colors. This rug made me feel like the flower's petals scattered to the floor. A biggest color accent of this room is the book folding sofa. The client's Mama now have a very shiny room with a comfortable sofa to sleep on, at the same time my client has a personal space to work, to enjoy while she is reading her favorite books. .

The bathroom has matching aqua blue hues in the shower curtain and towels. Of course the motif is seashells, which are repeated in the curtain, towels, bowl, and powder box! The brown shell bowl with aqua lined interior was a fabulous flea market find! I love the neutral colors in the shells and beige tile.

Texture and polish combine in this contemporary bathroom. A mix of multicolor slate, dark alder cabinetry and sleek Calacatta marble combine beautifully in this master retreat. Keeping a balance between overall costs of materials and everyday maintenance, we chose a playful mix of porcelain tile for the shower; a simple matte grey and a great Calacutta look-a-like compliment the adjacent marble slabs. Like many, they don’t use the jetted tub as often as the original builder had intended. Reusing the ‘like-new’ tub made sense; we simply covered the original tub deck with new tile, a bit of reducing and reusing in remodeling. The tub alcove sits opposite the vanities and demanded better balance in the bathroom. A redesign project although challenging, when looked at with a keen eye, provides opportunities which can be developed into key design elements.This project was entirely driven by this belief of doing well within given constraints & creating an ambience which speaks of sophistication & rich user experience. Project motive was to upgrade & subsequently up sell an already existing saloon in Al Ain, UAE; into a wellness center which caters to saloon services as well as massage facilities. The existing unit was compartmentalised & the walls prevented light from travelling to all areas of the space. .Some walls were demolished to create an open, well lit & free flowing space . Thus originated a module which could be scaled,repeated & used as a derivative rendering interesting identity to the space.
