This living room transformation is everyone's favorite. People love its colors, relaxed style, and inviting feeling. "Everything out and accessible" and "a furniture kitchen" were the mantras for this kitchen at the back of the house. Open shelving and hooks on the walls house dishes, apothecary jars, pots and pans. The cooktop sits on top of a salvaged piece of stone laying on top of an antique desk fitted with antique hardware. All exposed hardware is recycled or refinished.

Guests chill out in a yacht cabin, get their hair and make-up finished in an captain’s chair and put their feet up on the pontoon boat lounger. Teak and holly paneling emotes a sunny boat deck glow, and the mirror portals open to secret “naughty”-cal views. A wall photo album gives each new visitor nostalgic memories with photos of hanging out with Gilda Radner, Chevy Chase, and all the historic hosts of the tonight show while surfing at the beach. The coffee table is a 3D map of Long Island Sound. “I love the pillow with Bill Murray’s Zissou as the room's captain, and the custom mini-surfboard shelves that hold the created pictures of NBC royalty playing at the beach in vintage swimwear…” - Kyla Design Deep Dives Adams “Ocean” area rug, pillows that glitter like sunshine on water, side table with a map of Long Island Sound

Mid-sized transitional look-out carpeted basement photo in New York with gray walls

This Hollywood Glitz and Glamour bedroom was designed for the Philharmonic 2005 House. Interior Affairs was awarded the master bedroom after sharing the concept of the design with color swatches and sketches that captured the exact feeling the committee was hoping for. the bed is on a platform with lighting along the outside edge of the platform creating a night light or ambience in the room. The night stands are dark mahogany, with chandieliers hanging over each night stand. This treatment allows for more room creating more functional use. There is a retreat off to one side of the room where windows are framed in beautiful silk draperies. Two high-low chairs upholstered in a gorgeous mineral blue crushed vlevet. Carmel leather is used for the ottoman that sets in between both chairs allowing for the homeowners to use it as a cocktail table or for comfort. Off to the other side of the room, a sleek modernistic writing desk is used with a wood framed arm chair. A beautiful handpainted screen in art deco pattern was especially created by our own artist! Down the hall runs a long fluffly rug...soothing enough for the barefeet!

Working in conjunction with NBC's home improvement show, George To The Rescue, we performed an interior converstion of two rooms in Illinois for a family with a string of bad luck. With one son diagnosed with cancer at an early age and the two other boys with autism, the family has had a tough past few years. The boys have shared the same room all their lives, but "George" and Sagen helped the family get the dream home they deserve. We converted a garage into a sensory room and two sleeping areas for the younger boys, and the oldest boy finally has a room of his own.
