Our client tasked us with creating a versatile workspace for their family, including a daughter in college. Space was at a premium in their downtown loft, so we needed to create an efficient space that could be changed in the future to fulfill other needs. Our solution was a custom metal desk on casters, topped with concrete quartz. The office has little natural light, so white lacquered cabinets and metallic wallpaper were used to add life to the space.

Daniel’s penchant for unique vintage pieces is showcased throughout his home, especially in the living area. With a collection ranging from Mid-Century American and Danish furnishings, to Asian and African accessories, it is clear that Shapiro’s taste is as diverse as his passport.
The coffee table at the center of the room is particularly important to Daniel; Enough so that it is the first thing that he would want to rescue in the case of a fire. “That might be challenging given its size and weight”, he says “but it has sentimental meaning for me as I was with my Dad when he purchased it for the living room in my childhood home.” Just recently Shapiro learned that the table was created by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, a 1960’s father-and-son design team known for their tables with chinoiserie influences.

This stellar, child friendly design has to be seen and enjoyed to appreciate all the unique design elements that make up this all natural sandy bottom pool/pond. From the beautiful waterfalls and streams, to the eye catching arching water jets. Want to relax? Take a seat and enjoy a drink on one of the many submersed seating boulders and feel the soothing water from the multiple underwater jets as they massage your body. This pristine bathing experience can be attributed to the natural wetland filtration (no chlorine) system that is specifically designed for each installation. One thing is for certain. You won't have to look far to see where your kids are safely playing this summer.

The clients had an existing wood deck that was starting to have several issues.
We removed the existing deck and re-designed a new deck that would give them more usable space and open feeling.
The decking is Gossen brand Passport series Moroccan Cedar with Spanish Walnut accent stripe.
The railing is made with a wolmanized subframe and then wrapped with Gossen pvc in Moroccan Cedar color.
The stone columns are Deckorator brand faux stone in Fieldstone color. The caps are Deckorator brand solar l.e.d. post caps.
The railing balusters are Deckorator round aluminum balusters.
Dekor l.e.d. lighting was installed in the step fascias for safety and nightime illumination to compliment the post caps.
Once warmer and better weather come in I will go back out and get some nice pictures without the rain and leaves Mother Nature was throwing at me :) I also can't wait to get some great nightime shots of this project.
Mr. & Mrs. Koch, Thank you very much for allowing Creative Wood Products the honor of constructing your new deck !

This project required us to remove the old existing deck and start over from scratch.
There were several different design challenges that made the job very interesting and a lot of fun!
The project features Gossen Passport Series London Gray PVC used for the decking and fascias.
The railing is tempered glass panels by Stevens Glass. The railposts are wolmanized subframe with Acme brand vinyl white post sleeves. The postcaps are custom made on the jobsite with white pvc material.
The project has the main support beams and posts wrapped in Azek white PVC and a Drysnap watershed ceiling system was installed underneath the deck to allow the clients to entertain and use the space even if it is raining .
The existing timber retaining wall had to be modified to allow room for the client's hot tub. The timber wall modification and paverstone patio re-work were handled by Barkman Landscaping, as well as some of the changes to the existing landscape that the clients have done through the years.
The project turned fantastic and it was a very fun and challenging job!
Thank you very much Mr. & Mrs. Kriss for allowing us to help create your dream outdoor entertaining paradise!

For a fresh take on dining, consider spicing up a traditional table’s recipe for success. The Corin is a modern-day version of the classic trestle table—it has heft but not too much; it’s streamlined, but has ample surface space. Add stylized Cyra chairs with dramatic backs for a taste of midcentury style—a comfortable upholstered bench would look at home here, too. Want more drama? Add our grand Capiz chandelier to the menu.
