This beautiful century old home had an addition aded in the 80's that sorely needed updated. Working with the homeowner to make sure it functioned well for her, but also brought in some of the century old style was key to the design.

Having a thoughtfully designed playroom, outfitted with the right items, can make all the difference for keeping your kiddos content while doing the most important work of childhood—play! And what better way to play than with an arcade classic like this authentic Skee-Ball alley.

Finished Basement - If you’ve recently made an addition to your family, but aren’t ready to add an addition to your home, why not start by redesigning the space you already have? This charming living space began as a blank, unfinished basement. With the help of our expert design team, this family turned their once boring basement into a deluxe playroom for the kids and grown-ups alike. The Egress windows brighten the room in a cost-effective and eco-friendly manner while broad arches throughout the basement create a European style feel. For the kids, we added a game room and playroom with open shelving for toy storage. For the adults, the media room and deluxe wet bar – complete with new maple cabinetry, Pergo floors and choice granite countertops - are must have features for the family that entertains.

JMMDS created a new drive court, entry stairs, and herb terrace to complement a new addition to an old New Hampshire cape. We reoriented the axis of the vegetable garden toward a view and created a "turning point" for a handsome pot whose lines mimic the mountain peak beyond. A granite retaining wall along the back of the new addition makes space for a bocce court and lawn. Built in 1907 and nestled into the beating heart of San Fran’s Bernal Heights neighbourhood, this adorable abode was an unpolished gem ready to be turned into our clients’ dream home.
Our mission was to gift Bonview with classic, natural and timeless style while setting it up with impressive functionality so that it was ready to be the pet-friendly, kid-friendly and entertaining-friendly home they needed it to be. Mission accepted!
Our clients’ vision was clear: They wanted whites, blacks and wood tones with texture and personality. Oh, and that spunky wine fridge? Yep, that was a non-negotiable. ?
“It’s not unusual for our friends and family to drop past unannounced any day of the week. And we love it!” They told us during our initial Design Therapy Sesh.
We knew immediately what she meant - we have an open-door policy with our families, too! Which was why we consciously created living spaces that were open, inviting and welcoming.
Now, the only problem our clients would have would be convincing their guests to leave!
Our clients also enjoyed cooking and baking casually, so we created an organized, intuitive and functional kitchen and pantry that made whipping up homemade dips and snacks for their game nights a breeze.

The goal of the client was to have a basement getaway like no other. In addition to their authentic Irish Pub (imported from Ireland) & classic billiard/poker area, they wanted a place that they to gather and watch multiple football games and the occasional movie in luxury while still keeping the pub atmosphere.
After meeting with the client, we designed a media retreat that met the homeowners expectations for a getaway that was easy to use and enhanced their decor.
We installed an 84" Ultra-HD 4K flat panel, flanked by 2 65" High Definition displays, each can display a different game and switch displays on the fly. The system is controlled by a Crestron Control system as well as the multiple zones of audio through-out the basement and the outside pool area. The Crestron is controlled by the client easily using an iPad with icon driven interface custom programmed by Georgia Home Theater.
This install was a success in meeting the clients wishes to have a relaxing area that was inviting and simple to use.
