Inspiration for a large mediterranean rectangular pool remodel in San Francisco

This NJ pool design features a custom built, post and beam outdoor pavillion, with stone support columns rising right out of the water in the shallow end. The patio under the pavillion is a natural beige travertine. The pavillion also features a "Brazillian" Open pit barbeque. Sconce lighting on the columns provide up and down lighting to accent the stonework.

An updated Traditional home with a Contemporary Pool Pavilion and Landscape in the center of Dallas. The space was conceived by David Rolston and The Architect for the Pool Pavilion is Thomas Upchurch http://www.upchurcharchitects.com Photos by David Rolston, Inc.

C-shaped pavilion has an outdoor kitchen at the left, a covered fire pit (with a custom copper hood) in the center, and a game area and bathroom on the right. Tapered slate columns match those at the front entry to the home.

This project was a residence for a couple from the Washington D.C. area. The original house was a poorly conceived series of stucco boxes with no relationship to the outdoor spaces, or the distant vistas. These qualities were some of the more spectacular aspects of the 25 acre site. Our design response was to create two distinct outdoor ‘loggias’ on the front and back of the house to take advantage of wine country indoor/outdoor living, and to completely re-imagine the front of the house to allow the spectacular view of the Napa Valley to become part of their living experience. The simple palette of materials, stone, stucco, wood and steel are used in a way to bring some refined elegance to the property; reflecting the sophisticated vision of the clients.
