A kitchen end table and accents done using Sfumato (brown agate) from our gemstone surfaces collection. The entire table and surrounding stone have been backlit for an added effect.

Facing Swans Mural in Byzantine handcut Stone: Swimming Pool and Spa. This facing swan mural is located on the vertical wall of the home just above the Jacuzzi spa and adjacent to the swimming pool. The mural measures 53.5 x 118 inches. All stone micro mosaics are handcut and polished. Also produced for this client’s pool: A custom three tone mix was created to match the swans. This mix was used to line the water troughs. The swimming pool custom waterline inserts are Lapis Lazuli gemstone in a Fleur de Lis design inlaid into a solid honey onyx tile. There are 215 pieces of 25 x 25 inch tiles and 210 pieces of 2 x 2 inch gemstone tiles. The pool bottom mural is handcut stone. Custom art by Agape Tile. Location: Rumson, New Jersey. 2. Bejeweled Kitchens The kitchen has long since become the heart of the home, and now designers are dressing it up accordingly. Kelly Wearstler and Stephen Gambrel are fitting out kitchens with elaborate custom cabinetry painted in rich gemstone colors, and accented with gleaming brass or chrome, all lit by unusual lighting fixtures. And companies such as Caesarstone and Antolini have devised composite surfaces that mimic malachite, agate, and other exotic semi-precious stones, perfect for dramatic countertops and backsplashes.
