Inspiration for a contemporary home design remodel in New York

This homeowner had all the right ingredients but needed the right recipe for her family room! The goal was to keep a treasured statement piece of art, create more seating and better lighting, as well as update decor and storage solutions. Now the whole family has a place to hang out and enjoy time with friends and family!

With five doorways leading in to the kitchen, this space serves as a hub for this home. The ingredients for this kitchen's recipe for success are family-friendly function, well-appointed storage, and stylish details. Soft white cabinetry gives the kitchen a light and bright atmosphere, which is grounded by dark oak floors. A mosaic-tile "runner" adds a decorative element while warming the kitchen floors with radiant heat.
