Looking from the top of the furthest terraced step of the yard. This guest bedroom via the Designer Series from Studio Shed will welcome plenty of natural California sunshine.

Florida native landscape designated an Urban Wildlife Habitat by the NWF. The detached garage features a full living suite above. The lot is only 4900 sqft. The privacy fence and picket were designed to reflect an urban skyline. The balustrade is custom cypress and is designed in the custom of Key West style homes, demonstrating the home owner's line of work. In this case, you can see the propellers cut in alongside levels (I snuck myself in there a bit as well). The soffits are 30" cypress. The roofs are Energy Star and topped with peel and stick solar photovoltaics. All of the rain is diverted into above ground cisterns hidden behind the garage. Our clients and their three teenage kids had outgrown the footprint of their existing home and felt they needed some space to spread out. They came in with a couple of sets of drawings from different architects that were not quite what they were looking for, so we set out to really listen and try to provide a design that would meet their objectives given what the space could offer.
We started by agreeing that a bump out was the best way to go and then decided on the size and the floor plan locations of the mudroom, powder room and butler pantry which were all part of the project. We also planned for an eat-in banquette that is neatly tucked into the corner and surrounded by windows providing a lovely spot for daily meals.
The kitchen itself is L-shaped with the refrigerator and range along one wall, and the new sink along the exterior wall with a large window overlooking the backyard. A large island, with seating for five, houses a prep sink and microwave. A new opening space between the kitchen and dining room includes a butler pantry/bar in one section and a large kitchen pantry in the other. Through the door to the left of the main sink is access to the new mudroom and powder room and existing attached garage.
White inset cabinets, quartzite countertops, subway tile and nickel accents provide a traditional feel. The gray island is a needed contrast to the dark wood flooring. Last but not least, professional appliances provide the tools of the trade needed to make this one hardworking kitchen.

With their unique design and appearance, Chicology Free-Stop Cordless Zebra Roller Shade is the shade of choice for those who are bold.
Zebras are dual-layered shades that enable you to easily switch between sheer and privacy. Simply pull the shade slightly for sheer, to enjoy beautiful light effects and the outside view, and for privacy, to create peace of mind in your home.
A hard cassette valance comes included, and the Free-Stop cordless mechanism is precise and smooth. Unlike other spring roller mechanisms, Free-Stop works smoothly, the way you'd expect. No need to tug, simply pull or lift the shade with the lift of a finger. Ideal homes with small children and pets; our shade meets and exceeds ANSI child safety regulations. This shade is durable and ideal for kitchen, bathroom, office, bedroom, garage, den, family room, nursery, and more.
The installation is a quick 3-step process. Capable of inside or outside mount. For all mounts, a half inch is deducted on the width for a snug fit. A minimum of 3-inches depth is required for inside mount. Note: there is about an inch gap between fabric and valance to allow for the cordless mechanism.

Master shower with Walker Zanger rain glass wall tile, pebble stone shower floor, Sunshine clawfoot tub, crema marfil shower curb, clean lined shower enclosure and red oak flooring. Spa vibe with plenty of room for two people.

The master bedroom of this home is full of exciting colors and textures. The dark walls allow the bed to stand out while the rug and pillows add pops of color and texture. Brad Knipstein was the photographer.

Our client wanted a simple, rectangle pool, long enough for swimming laps. Their desire was for simplicity and understated elegance. A reverse negative edge, flowing back toward the house is both visually enticing, and creates a pleasant babbling brook sound, as the water trickles down the stair- stepped Pennsylvania ledgestone face. The water flows into a hidden trough filled with Mexican beach pebble.

Classic Designs often work the best for a traditional style home set on a rural estate in Princeton NJ. For the dinning terrace a bluestone patio was installed with a brick inlayed rug. Plantings beds filled with perennials and flowering shrubs surround the patio and lead you down to the swimming pool. Built at existing grade to meet DEP regulations the swimming pool is the centerpiece of the back yard. The walls were installed with Pennsylvania Fieldstone and the pool patio is Blue/ Grey Sandstone.
The project was collaboration between Harmony Design Group and Ronni Hock Garden & Landscape.

Mimicking a commercial kitchen, open base cabinetry both along the wall and in the island makes accessing items a snap for the chef. Metal cabinetry is more durable for throwing around pots and pans.
