Designed by renowned architect and 'sacred geometer' David Yarbrough, this sacred space in Corbett, Oregon combines three functions under one roof: a Chinese medicine healing arts center, a community center, and a 1400 SF new home. An earth plaster, cedar chip, clay slip, natural wood slat wall system combines traditional construction techniques with energy efficiency to create a healthy environment for denizens, care providers, and patients.

Built-In, Fireplace Mantle & Wood Paneled Wall - After
Family Room
This client was moving into their new home in Orange County; a home lost in divorce by a couple with entirely different tastes from the new owners. Firstly we had to tackle getting rid of the white washed finish and at the same time shift and balance the negative energies in this space that had permiated this house through the grief & anger of the previous owners.
I proposed we add a deep rich wood finish in this room to coordinate with the dark wood floors. We changed the white Built-In and Fireplace Mantle to rich wood tones. The surrounding paneled wall was changed to a painted wood finish in a regal nobleman's finish which grounded the room without going too dark. There was a hushed yet masculine feeling in this room when we finished the process. The paints changed the look. The energetic intentions of releasing the old, heavy, conflicting energies of the previous family settled in about midway through the process when we felt almost an on/off swich occur from heavy energies to light, loving and bright. All this energetic shifting took place through our intentions & positive energy which flowed through the tips of our paintbrushes. The result was a shift in energy throughout this home. As a distinct validation of the shifting that occured in the energy, our client arrived later in the day of the "shift" and burst out in spontaneous tears of joy. She felt it. She told us she felt the change with her words, as she looked at our work in awe.
Our clients were very happy with the results of the transformation of this space & their home. Once that "shift" occured, all construction delays, mishaps and contractor arguments stopped in that moment. At once, everything began to flow with ease and grace throughout the rest of the remodel process. This allowed our clients to move in just in time for the holidays and just in time to begin their new life together as a newly blended family.

Project Overview
Situated on the prestigious Amrita Shergill Marg, four exclusive villas grace a single sprawling estate. Unparalleled in India, each villa boasts world-class specifications, ranging from 3,000 to 7,000 sqft. A shared oasis awaits with a grand swimming pool and open lawn areas. Enhancing the opulence, open terraces adorned with wooden decking and a graceful tensile structure offer the epitome of outdoor relaxation.
Concept and Design
Bedmar & Shi, renowned for their sensitivity and innovation, embarked on a remarkable journey to create this exquisite haven on the prestigious Amrita Shergil Marg in Delhi, India.
Constrained by a substantial 9-meter setback from Lodhi Road and a height limit matching the original structure, Bedmar embraced a neutral architectural palette. This neutrality would allow the purity of forms and spaces to serve as a captivating backdrop for the rich tapestry of Indian textiles and arts.
Drawing inspiration from Mies Van der Rohe’s iconic Barcelona Pavilion, with its embodiment of International Style and fluid spaces, Bedmar fused this design philosophy with elements of Indian culture.
Further exploration reveals the interconnected Living and Dining Rooms, where free-standing walls, reminiscent of Mies Van de Rohe’s influence, create dynamic, non-static spaces. Elevated ceilings and high-level windows lend grandeur to these areas, establishing a hierarchy of spaces within the house.
The Master Bedroom, perched above the Living and Dining pavilion, claims the highest position in the hierarchy. The children’s bedrooms follow, while the guest suite, located on the ground floor, completes the architectural ensemble.
Features and Details
Travertine Walls: Walls surrounding the property and courtyards are made of natural Italian travertine, featuring expertly cut slabs that appear as if they are formed from a single piece of stone.
Timber Screens: Traditional Indian patterns are abstracted and incorporated into timber screens or jali timber panels, adding a distinct Indian flavor to the design without replicating traditional tapestries.
Courtyards: The house includes multiple courtyards, each serving as a unique entertainment space and designed for various types of social gatherings.
Tulsi Tree Garden: A serene garden with a Tulsi tree is situated within the house, creating an aura of reverence and tranquillity.

It should have a soothing ambience that also shows your particular flair. One way of accomplishing the rest and tranquillity you deserve is to choose the correct bed mattress.
So, do you want to design a comfortable and visually appealing bedroom? You've come to the correct link! This blog article walks you through the process of choosing the right mattress. It also presents some fascinating interior design ideas to turn your bedroom into a calm oasis. So, let's get started!
How to Choose the Mattress for Your Bedroom?
What is crucial for a good night's sleep? It’s choosing the perfect bed mattress! It is the most basic requirement to achieve excellent snooze. But with so many options available, it can feel overwhelming. Sorting through all the sizes and features and figuring out your budget can be challenging.
Remember, there isn't a single best mattress for everyone. It's essential to consider your own needs when shopping. Your sleep position, body shape, budget, and personal preferences all play a role in finding the right mattress.
Essential Factors to Consider While Choosing a Mattress:
The following are some crucial factors that you must consider when selecting the ideal mattress for your bedroom:
Size and Space: Consider the size of your bedroom and the space available for your mattress. Twin, full, queen, and king are the most common sizes. Choose a size that fits well in your room without taking up too much space.
Furniture and Layout: Larger mattresses like bed frames and nightstands may require more oversized furniture. Check that the mattress size corresponds to your bedroom's general arrangement.
Top 5 Types of Mattresses
Let's look at the five main varieties of mattresses on the market. This knowledge can significantly help you select the ideal mattress specific to your needs.
Memory Foam Mattresses: These mattresses adjust to your body's form, providing excellent support and reducing pressure points. They are fantastic for relieving pain and suffering.
Orthopaedic Mattress: Designed particularly for those with back or joint problems, orthopaedic bed mattresses provide tailored support to relieve pain and encourage healthy spinal alignment.
Latex Mattresses: These mattresses, made of natural or synthetic latex, are noted for their durability and breathability. They are mould and dust-mite-resistant, making them an excellent alternative for allergy sufferers.
Hybrid Mattress: As the name implies, these mattresses combine the greatest elements of several varieties. Hybrid mattresses are known to provide a balanced sleep experience that includes both support and comfort.
Innerspring Mattresses: These bed mattresses include a coil support structure on top of many comfort layers. They offer great support, excellent ventilation, and a bouncing sensation.
To summarise, designing a comfortable and visually beautiful bedroom is critical to your health. Begin by picking the best-suited bed mattress for your requirements and interests. Consider how the size of your bedroom influences the arrangement.
Then, use design aspects such as colour palettes, furniture arrangement, lighting, and personal touches to make your bedroom your sacred sanctuary. Go ahead and design a setting that promotes comfortable sleep while reflecting your personality!
