In recent years, shiplap installments have been popular on HGTV, other design networks, and in magazines. When we were approached by the owners of this bathroom we couldn’t have been more excited to help them achieve the effect that they were dreaming of. Our favorite features of this bathroom are: 1. The floor to ceiling shiplap walls are beautiful and have completely converted the space 2. Hammocks are a big part of the Shabby Chic world: a humble luxury, they find their way into myriad Shabby environments. Lily considers her garden her garden as another room in her cottage, hence her addition of a pretty plastic and practical rug. Photo Credit: Amy Neunsinger

Embracing the vintage, and her love for Shabby Chic style, this coastal beach client wanted to retain her original stove, as well as her original kitchen cabinets. We also kept all her vintage china and old appliances. We removed the old tile counter and backsplash, and replaced them with a butcherblock countertop from IKEA, and beadboard backsplash. The farmhouse sink and bridge faucet and vintage style chandelier were also purchased for the new space. Since my client doesn't use the old stove very often, she opted for no hood above the stove. The breakfast nook is quite tiny yet still suitable for morning breakfasts for two.

Built-in shower seat enhances walk-in shower's purpose and provides a spa-like experience. Dark granite seated base adds brings out the depth of mosaic tile wall surround.
