The mudroom laundry / laundry room features a custom set of cubbies for the family of six. Each adult and child has their own space for storing shoes, sports gear, coats and more. A place to sit and take off shoes and boats is created by the lowest shelf as it bows outward to form a seat. The Homeowner’s goal for this garage was to keep it simple, balanced and totally organized. The cabinets are finished in Hammered Silver Melamine and have decorative Stainless Steel Bar Pulls. The large cabinet unit has storage for 2 golf bags and other paraphernalia for the sport. All exposed edges of doors and drawers are finished in black to compliment the Black Linex counter top and adjustable matte aluminum legs with black trim accent. Gray slatwall was added above the counter to hold paper towels, baskets and a magnetic tool bar for functional appearance and use. Dual sliding barn doors with black pipe handles (the same that was used in the bar!) form the entrance to the home gym. The spacious and bright room has a rubber floor. 40 tires were upcycled to create this sustainable and durable flooring. A wall of mirrors amplifies the natural light from the windows and door to the outside. Welcome to this sports lover’s paradise in West Chester, PA! We started with the completely blank palette of an unfinished basement and created space for everyone in the family by adding a main television watching space, a play area, a bar area, a full bathroom and an exercise room.
