The Brief
This client from Cranleigh, Surrey, sought to transform their bedroom space with built-in furniture and numerous storage solutions. In terms of theme, this couple were inspired by a natural wood and gloss display from our Horsham showroom, which they wished to replicate in their bedroom.
A design also needed to include clever solutions to maximise space, but also incorporate decorative areas to store decorative items.
Design Elements
Cabinetry from our Yorkshire based bedroom specialist Daval has been used for this renovation. Designer Alistair has combined Blonde Oak cabinets with Cashmere Gloss door fronts, in a style similar to the display they were inspired by at our Horsham showroom.
Alistair has created a design that maximises storage space, whilst including numerous decorative areas this client requested.
Special Inclusions
Some clever storage solutions help this bedroom space tick. One being pull-down rails, to ensure this client can reach higher clothing rails within tall storage. Another is the SERVO-DRIVE mechanisms, built-into storage above the bed. This is a touch-to-open mechanism that will help this client access storage in a slightly restricted space, with minimal effort.
Project Highlight
To help decorate the bedroom space, this client requested some decorative areas to be included to store cherished and essential items.
Bed-side tables, a book shelf near the headboard, and another storage area help to provide this, and designer Alistair has enhanced these areas with ambient downlights.
The End Result
This project showcases the amazing transformation that fitted bedroom furniture can make to a bedroom space. Designer Alistair has created a great design to fully achieve this client’s requirements, and all the elements of their initial brief.

Bradfabs Ltd
This particular customer had ordered a series of balconettes and balustrading from a competitor but the goods never showed up.
Bradfabs made a prompt site visit to measure up and provide a quotation, we suggested a wood effect powder coating to the mild steel which would work well with the existing brown wood on the windows. (and would also be maintenance free unlike timber).
Bradfabs manufactured and installed a number of bespoke items for the customer in North Yorkshire.
"Hello, Robert,
I just wanted to congratulate you on the performance of your company, I found everyone very helpful, the service speedy and painless and the balconies are both well made and look lovely,
I would have no hesitation in using you on any future projects and recommending you to others.
Best wishes Rachel"

Project: Kitsilano House
Builder: Grenor Homes
About this Project
When our clients asked us to design their new house in the heart of Kitsilano, they wanted a space that showcased their personalities, travels, and experiences. Naturally, our team was instantly excited and eager to make this house a home.
Layout:
Prior to the renovation, the family room was adjacent to the kitchen and the formal living room at the other end of the space; in the middle was the dinning area. We looked at the main floor as an entire space and decided to combine the two living spaces into one and move the dining area towards the kitchen.
The Kitchen:
had always been an L shape with an island; previously there was a kitchen table by the windows. In the space planning period, we decided to eliminate the kitchen table to increase the overall size of the kitchen, giving us a bigger island for casual eating.
The perimeter of the kitchen has many great features; a coffee nook, a freezer column, double ovens, a cooktop with drawers below, an appliance garage in the awkward corner, a pantry with ample storage and free-standing fridge.
The Island also has many key features; a built-in unit for garbage/recycling/compost, a slide out tray underneath the sink for easy access to cleaning products, a dishwasher, and a bank of four drawer. On the outside of the island is an open shelf for cookbooks and display items. Below the countertop overhang is additional hidden storage for the items not accessed frequently.
Dinning Area:
we utilized the pre-existing niche by incorporating floating shelves in an asymmetrical design, which became the perfect area for the clients to display the art collected during their travels.
Bar Area:
The space between the kitchen and powder room became the perfect place to add a bar. Storage, counter space, and 2 bar fridges brought this little entertaining area to life.
Fireplace:
Using existing fireplace unit we cladded the surround with Dekton material, paneled the wall above with Walnut and a mantel made from Quarkus. These materials repeat them selves through the entire space.

Contemporary German Kitchen in Barns Green, West Sussex
Explore this contemporary Fjord Blue & Satin Grey German Kitchen, complete with a matching utility and TV area.
The Brief
This client sought to transform their kitchen, utility, and dining area with a theme that could be replicated across the three areas of this room. Bold colours were favoured from initial project conversations, and modern conveniences were to be implemented into the design across all three areas.
The project was to also include a small amount of structural work to create access into the utility area, as well as the installation of bi-fold doors towards the garden end of the room.
Design Elements
To achieve the bold aesthetic the client favoured the design utilises a relatively new Fjord Blue finish from German supplier Nobilia. This matt blue finish is contrasted with a glossy Satin Grey option, in a combination that has been deployed across all three areas of this room.
The main kitchen utilises a similar layout to the previous, but with designer Alistair making the most of the space available and tailoring elements to the client’s requirements.
The silky work surfaces are a Corian finish, an additional modern element to the design. The finish is Grey Onyx, and combines well with bold elements of this design, and the vibrant blue glass splashback colour.
Several clever storage and space saving solutions have been incorporated into this design. One is a full-height pull-out pantry placed next to the client’s own American fridge-freezer, and another is the tambour unit which the client liked as a place to store small appliances and breakfast items.
A number of appliances were required as part of this project with high-specification Neff models chosen. One of these is a Flexinduction hob which is installed beneath a built-in Neff extractor, integrated into wall units. A Neff Slide & Hide single oven and combination oven have also been installed, and another high-tech inclusion is a Quooker boiling water tap fitted above a sizeable double stainless steel sink.
Special Inclusions
To give the room the modern feel this client sought, designer Alistair has implemented a number of lighting options to illuminate and enhance the space. Downlights, handrail LED strip lights and plinth lighting have all been installed across the kitchen and matching utility area.
The utility itself utilises the same theme as the kitchen and is equipped with plenty of useful storage space. Another great addition in the utility is a full-height CDA wine cabinet, which has capacity to store more than one-hundred wine bottles.
The entrance to the utility was rethought as part of the project too. A pocket door was chosen to ensure that the utility did not feel too separated from the kitchen and dining areas, and our installation team installed this as part of the installation.
Above the entrance to the utility downlights have been installed which shine upon glass splashback, an inventive piece of work by one of our installers on-site.
Project Highlight
The final area of this vast space is the TV area, which utilises the same Fjord Blue cabinetry, this time with Havana Oak accents.
This area provides extra storage for the clients and is equipped with a built-in TV, positioned in front of their dining area to be used when dining or entertaining.
The End Result
This project is another that shines a light upon the exceptional results that can be achieved using our complete design and installation service. This design incorporated a full kitchen, utility and TV area design, with structural work, furniture installation, electrical work, plumbing and even a small portion of flooring, coordinated by our in-house team and delivered from a single quotation.

In keeping with the historic nature of the home, white painted custom cabinets with shaker style doors (that echo the paneling in the rest of the house) replaced dated cabinets in the kitchen. An island with seating for five people allows guests to sit and chat with the cook, and the kids to be more involved during busy breakfasts. A custom buffet cabinet was designed to echo traditional free standing cabinets and houses the coffee maker, toaster and breakfast items, which are neatly tucked away behind doors when not in use.
We strived to preserve the unique features of this home, with new items such as period style light fixtures, and trim details that match the rest of the home. The space is complete with historically accurate finishes like marble countertops.

This space was an addition off of an existing small living space, which was designed by an architect who created a beautifully dramatic, two-story, living space by angling walls and making the living room area 2 stories high, with an overlook at the top of the spiral staircase to the second floor. The appliances were already set in place, and the homeowners did not want to move the existing plumbing, electrical, or venting, so I had to work within those parameters. They wanted a contemporary, industrial, feel for the kitchen, which I believe is described as Midcentry Modern, was acheived by using slab-style doors and drawers, mixing painted with walnut veneered finishes, along with other custom and unique items. The soapstone was a must-have for the homeowners, providing a source for the painted cabinetry color, which draws out the beautiful veins in the countertop. They needed pantry space, and as much usable storage as possible for the space, which included the angled wall that the refrigerator was on, along with not crowding the walk space between that wall and the necessary column adjacent to it. By building in the refrigerator with panels on either side to conceal the refrigerator "box", I was able to create a storage section which included a 2-drawer base for storage of larger items, with 2 pantries flanking either end, with contrasting walnut floating shelves in between. along with that custom section, in order to provide additional storage, and counter space, I created a free-standing piece, which had to feel like a part of the kitchen, yet also feel like a furniture piece, when viewed from the living room. In order to achieve that look, I used 3" wide columns to frame the piece, which I also repeated as floating shelves in the middle, to house their crockpot, but most importantly, a "home" for their roomba. The island also provided the space for separate pull-out trash and recycling bins, which I did not have space for elsewhere. Collaborating with the homeowners on this project enabled me to design a kitchen that was in a style that I hadn't had the opportunity to design in before, and I now appreciate and love this style myself!

The Brief
This Storrington couple were seeking to modernise every aspect of their traditional home. The task for designer Alistair was to create a theme befitting of this period property and a layout to include the plentiful storage and present-day features required.
Originally two rooms, this client sought to open up the space into a single room with the help of our complete installation option. The clients wished to use part of the open-plan room as a super-sociable area with island seating and additional modern comforts.
The new space was also to be enhanced with lighting improvements and new flooring.
Design Elements
From early project conversations a shaker-style kitchen was a clear favourite, and so designer Alistair has utilised a solid painted shaker option from British supplier Trend. A subtle light grey finish has been used for the main kitchen area, while a differing dust grey tone has been used for the island.
The layout is comprised of a U-shape in the main kitchen which incorporates tall units to house appliances, pull-out pantries to achieve storage requirements, and glass fronted cabinetry to showcase decorative items.
The entire kitchen is fitted with quality quartz work surfaces from supplier Silestone. The chosen finish is a white-based finish called Snowy Ibiza, which teams well with subtle grey elements of this project.
Following the construction work and installation of structural steels, a new floor was required as well as new lighting to suit the new space. A medium oak finish named Auckland oak has been used throughout the room which adds a warming element to the room.
The new room has also been illuminated using pendant lighting above the island, downlights throughout, and undercabinet lighting.
Special Inclusions
An important part of the project was the modern-day function of the new kitchen, which designer Alistair has achieved by incorporating an array of high-specification Neff appliances.
The client was keen to incorporate a Slide & Hide Neff oven, wine cabinet, and Quooker boiling water tap which all feature in the project. A sizeable cooking area was required for pots and pans, with designer Alistair recommending a five-ring induction hob from Neff.
A wine cabinet was a must for this project, and a large CDA wine cabinet has been installed within the island seating area.
In addition, a Neff combination oven, Neff refrigerator, Neff freezer, and Neff integrated washing machine have also been installed as part of this project.
A space was also required for this client to tuck away any small appliances, which designer Alistair has catered for within the design.
Project Highlight
This sociable island space was a key requirement of this project.
It has seating for four to eat or to gather and watch tv, and is equipped with plentiful storage. A wine cabinet was a key desirable, and this CDA model can store up to forty-five wine bottles across two temperature-controlled zones.
The End Result
This project is another illustration of the transformative results that can be achieved when opting to use our complete installation option.
After approaching us with their project requirements, this client has had their entire project designed and installed from a single quotation, encompassing structural works, kitchen installation, flooring, lighting and more.

Borrelli Design+Cabinetry
This kitchen remodel has been 27 years in the making and was ready for an all-around update. During our first few meetings, our client had envisioned what drawers would house which items and really wanted the kitchen to accommodate more people whether for a simple meal or for multiple cooks during a celebratory gathering. The original kitchen did not have enough storage and the island did not allow for much seating space. Our client dreamed of a kitchen where she could cook and entertain her family and friends at the same time.
An existing wall enclosing the kitchen was removed and another wall was extended to room for a wall of cabinetry while also allowing the space for a bigger island. Upon entering the kitchen, a base cabinet with beveled glass doors showcases the beautiful china that our client has collected throughout the years. The new kitchen is packed with appliances that allow our client to make the best usage of them. A 48” American Range Lenged Series rangetop and a 48” stainless steel hood by Windster form the heart of the kitchen. A stainless steel backsplash allows easy maintenance for our client who uses the kitchen so often. The new wall now starts with a desk/office area, a 30” American Range Legacy Series double wall oven, a 36” French door refrigerator, ice maker, wine refrigerator and beverage center. A mixer stand is located in the base cabinet of the island to save countertop space and a drawer bank allows for baking utensils. A prep sink is part of the island with a single trash to make cooking, prepping and cleaning an ease for multiple cooks. A microwave drawer is also available on the island. Easy access and once again keeping the countertop work space open and free. Storage is available at the seating area for seasonal items.
The kitchen finishes were completely switched out as well. The new cabinetry consists of a Cherry species in the Nantucket door style by Crystal Cabinets. Cabinets were finished in a Cinnamon stain with black glazing in a distressed look with cracking and wearing. The surrounding cabinets have a leathered granite and a marble countertop for the island. The three-part crown was inspired by an armoire that has been with the family for a long period of time. Crystal knobs and cup style pulls provide the finishing touches to this beautiful and functional kitchen. Ever since the kitchen has been completed, our client has spent so much time in the kitchen, cooking at home has overridden the want to go out and eat.
