Elegance, convenience and innovation all mix together perfectly in this spacious bar and entertainment area, which was designed around the idea that an exciting nightlife scene can be found at home. The bar itself is highlighted with illuminated glass shelves that are flanked on one side by a Monogram fully integrated refrigerator and on the other by a fully integrated wine reserve. The refrigerators and undercounter appliances have custom white-oak panels that tie into the surrounding architectural millwork. For visual contrast, the ceiling, walls and floor are finished in black and are detailed with parallel white bands in varying lengths. A faux trophy head above a horizontal fireplace gives the space a modern, artistic vibe that’s both low key and high luxe.

Inspiration for a huge rustic enclosed dark wood floor family room remodel in Portland with beige walls

This project combines high end earthy elements with elegant, modern furnishings. We wanted to re invent the beach house concept and create an home which is not your typical coastal retreat. By combining stronger colors and textures, we gave the spaces a bolder and more permanent feel. Yet, as you travel through each room, you can't help but feel invited and at home.

The clients were looking for a modern, rustic ski lodge look that was chic and beautiful while being family-friendly and a great vacation home for the holidays and ski trips. Our goal was to create something family-friendly that had all the nostalgic warmth and hallmarks of a mountain house, while still being modern, sophisticated, and functional as a true ski-in and ski-out house. To achieve the look our client wanted, we focused on the great room and made sure it cleared all views into the valley. We drew attention to the hearth by installing a glass-back fireplace, which allows guests to see through to the master bedroom. The decor is rustic and nature-inspired, lots of leather, wood, bone elements, etc., but it's tied together will sleek, modern elements like the blue velvet armchair.

These Brown Fantasy Leathered quartzite countertops are the star of this kitchen. With sweeping hues of brown, tan, gray, and white, the movement in this natural stone carries your eye throughout the space. The homeowners' installed a complimentary glass tile backsplash which looks fabulous against their white cabinetry. A framed insert of glass and stone mosaic tile above the stove makes a great focal point. They also have a Shaw farmhouse sink which looks out to a gorgeous view of their backyard.

The office. The wall behind the desk is covered is 13" x 13" embossed leather tiles. The bookcase was custom built on site to fit under the windows. To keep the view wide open, cornice board valances were used on the windows.

The walls of this formal dining room have all been paneled and painted a crisp white to set off the stark gray used on the upper part of the walls, above the paneling. Ceilings are coffered and a dramatic large pendant lamp is placed centered in the paneled ceiling. A silk light grey rug sits proud under a 12' wide custom dining table. Reclaimed wood planks from Canada and an industrial steel base harden the soft lines of the room and provide a bit of whimsy. Dining benches sit on one side of the table, and four leather and nail head studded chairs flank the other side. The table comfortably sits a party of 12.
