These homeowners originally had a standard wood deck and loves to entertain throughout the year so they were looking to expand. We tore off the old deck and build a New Covered Deck (21’x16′) and Uncovered deck (20’x12′). The materials we used were Timbertech’s PVC Capped Composite Decking in the Legacy Series – Colors were Tigerwood for the main color with the Mocha as the accent. The railing was the Westbury’s Full Aluminum Railing in the Tuscany Series. The Covered area we used a screen below the decking for bugs and Full Glass Windows on the walls. We also added Decking lighting as Stair Riser Lights and Post Cap lights for the outside part. The ceiling of the covered is Cedar Carsiding. With the finished project, these homeowners can enjoy and entertain most of our Iowa year now. Project turned out great.

These homeowners originally approached us for a dual-bathroom remodel. However, once we sat down with them and went through the discovery process of asking key questions, we uncovered that a kitchen was the priority. Sometimes clients dream bigger than their budgets can afford. Well, actually, they always do, but hey, nothing wrong with being an optimist, right?
They wanted a more modern, useful kitchen without a 90's desk, which draws clutter like flies to honey. We redesigned that space specifically for more useful storage and solved their design dilemma regarding different color schemes by offering a 3 tone solution. In the right light, the upper cabinets and lower cabinets have a slightly different shade, the lower being more grey tone. And obviously, the island is a bright blue.

The warmer season, upcoming Super Bowl Sunday, and a raging pandemic. These were the problems plaguing the World of Beer Bar in Tampa Bay, FL, when they got in touch with us for an outdoor bar pergola solution.
Outdoor Project
They wanted to entertain massive crowds of people and watch parties, but the guests could be limited to an outdoor seating space due to the area’s pandemic restrictions. The solution for the restaurant patio cover was the louvered roof system.
The World of Beer Bar decided on a modern pergola with an automated louvered roof to create an outside terrace where their customers can enjoy Super Bowl while maintaining the government’s SOPs due to the pandemic. They loved our R-Blade pergola as it offered a covered outdoor space where they could receive and entertain their guests.
They wanted the industrial patio cover installed on their outdoor terrace to offer rain protection to their customers. But they also wanted a part of the terrace to be uncovered so that their customers can enjoy the beautiful day outdoors.
R-Blade pergola design with the louvered system was the perfect solution for this beer bar’s outdoor space.

4 louvered roof that open and close independently - outdoor bar pergola
This industrial patio cover for the outdoor terrace consists of 4 louvered roofs mounted to the bar’s wall. Additionally, the client wanted these roofs to open and close independently so that their customers can enjoy a nice beer and enjoy the Super Bowl watch parties outside when the weather’s good.
Automated screens for wind and rain protection
The R-Blade bioclimatic louvered roof installed at the outdoor terrace comes with outdoor screens, a rain sensor that prompts the pergola to close automatically when it detects rain. Moreover, the outdoor bar pergola has a wind sensor for automatic opening whenever it detects a strong wind force.
While offering the perfect ambiance to this convivial sports bar, it shelters the customers from winds during watch parties and gatherings.
Moreover, our modern louvered roof system is complemented by Azenco’s well-engineered invisible gutter system to drain the rainwater immediately, ensuring that the space under the pergola remains dry.
Grey bronze structure to match the bar’s overall look
We installed grey bronze structures that go very well with the sports bar’s overall look and ambiance. They also asked for white louvers to perfectly contrast with the grey bronze structures giving the outdoor bar pergola a more sophisticated yet friendly vibe.
The pergolas were designed to perfectly blend with the bar’s exterior, offering the perfect place for beer and sports enthusiasts to connect over their favorite teams in the Super Bowl.
Outdoor bar pergola features and Azenco’s solutions
As a result, we created an amazing restaurant patio design for the World of Beer Bar to entertain their guests outside even during the pandemic restrictions.
The louvered system was designed to blend with the sports bar’s look, so the structures were attached to the outdoor wall and crafted in grey bronze while the louvers were white.
Before the renovation, it was just an uncovered terrace on the second story of the patio. But now it’s the perfect outdoor sitting area for customers who come to enjoy the outdoors and watch Super Bowl. The elegant-looking louvers protect the customers from rain or the sun, while the uncovered part gives guests the perfect outdoor experience.
Not to mention that Azenco successfully installed the louvered roof before the Super Bowl 2021 started as the client needed to arrange an outdoor terrace to receive the guests.

Custom locally built dining table designed by For a family wanting a dramatic entry and dining room, but with requirements that it be an indestructible venue for weekly brunches with guest lists including small children! Our first solution was to create a contrasting border integral to the hardwood floor, in lieu of an area rug. From there, we introduced furniture in resilient materials such as fiberglass chairs and a locally made custom table of Heather's design in reclaimed hardwood, steel and acrylic. Luxurious drapes, dramatic accessories and a chandelier with glimmer added the required panache.

Embarking on a bathroom remodeling project is an exciting endeavor that can greatly enhance the functionality, aesthetics, and value of your home. However, finding a reliable and skilled contractor in a bustling city like Los Angeles can be a daunting task. To simplify the process and ensure a successful bathroom renovation, we have compiled a comprehensive guide on how to find a reputable bathroom remodeling contractor in Los Angeles, California.
Start with Online Research:
The first step in your quest for a reliable contractor is to conduct thorough online research. Utilize search engines like Google to find bathroom remodeling contractors in Los Angeles. Be sure to include specific keywords such as "bathroom remodeling," "contractor," and "Los Angeles" to refine your search results.
Check Online Directories and Review Platforms:
Explore online directories and review platforms like Yelp, Angie's List, and Houzz to find a curated list of bathroom remodeling contractors in Los Angeles. These platforms often provide detailed information about contractors, including customer reviews, ratings, project photos, and contact details. Assess the overall rating and read through multiple reviews to gauge the contractor's reputation and reliability.
Seek Recommendations:
Ask friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues who have recently undergone a bathroom remodeling project in Los Angeles for recommendations. Personal referrals can provide valuable insights and firsthand experiences that online research may not uncover. Inquire about the contractor's professionalism, craftsmanship, adherence to timelines, and overall satisfaction with the project.
Verify Credentials and Licensing:
Once you have shortlisted potential contractors, it is crucial to verify their credentials and licensing. Check if they are licensed by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) in California. A valid license ensures that the contractor meets the state's requirements and regulations. Additionally, inquire about their insurance coverage to protect against any potential liabilities during the remodeling process.
Evaluate Experience and Expertise:
Assess the experience and expertise of the contractors on your list. Look for contractors who specialize in bathroom remodeling and have a proven track record of successful projects. Review their portfolios or ask for references to see examples of their previous work. A skilled contractor should be able to handle a variety of bathroom designs and styles, and provide creative solutions to meet your specific needs.
Schedule In-Person Consultations:
Arrange in-person consultations with the shortlisted contractors. Use this opportunity to discuss your remodeling goals, budget, timeline, and any specific requirements you may have. A reputable contractor will listen attentively, provide insights, and offer suggestions based on their expertise. Pay attention to their communication style, professionalism, and responsiveness, as these qualities are crucial for a smooth working relationship.
Request Detailed Quotes and Contracts:
Ask the contractors for detailed written quotes that outline the project's scope, materials, labor costs, and any additional expenses. A comprehensive quote will help you compare the estimates provided by different contractors effectively. Once you have selected a contractor, ensure that you have a detailed contract in place that covers all aspects of the project, including timelines, payment schedules, warranties, and dispute resolution processes.
Seek Permits and Building Code Compliance:
Bathroom remodeling projects often require permits and adherence to building codes. A reputable contractor will be familiar with the local building regulations in Los Angeles and should handle the permit application process on your behalf. Verify that the contractor will obtain the necessary permits and ensure that all work is compliant with local codes and regulations.
Conclusion:
Finding a bathroom remodeling contractor in Los Angeles, California, may seem overwhelming, but by following these guidelines, you can streamline the process and select a contractor who meets your expectations. Conduct thorough online research, seek recommendations, verify credentials, evaluate experience, and schedule in-person consultations to make an informed decision.

This two bedroom apartment is located in a converted loft building dating from 1881 near Gramercy Park in Manhattan. The design involved the complete remodeling of the apartment, including a new open plan kitchen with an island overlooking the living area.
The existing building fabric becomes part of the redesigned space in the form of an exposed cast iron column and an uncovered brickwork wall. These simple moves serve as tectonic reminders of the building's history while being juxtaposed with the modern fixtures and finishes that form the rest of the apartment.
Natural light is drawn into the hallway by inserting a glass clerestory over a new storage wall. Cabinetry in the living, kitchen and bedroom spaces is built into the walls to maximize storage areas while creating a fully integrated architectural solution throughout the apartment. Artificial lighting is discreetly added through light coves, recessed ceiling fixtures and under cabinet lights.

Most shades, blinds or curtains allow some type of light through when they are closed which can be very frustrating, especially if you’re trying to take a nap or enjoying a movie in a home theater. Or with the kids being back in school, it’s sometimes hard to get them to bed early with the evening light shining in the room.
We have a solution. That is what blackout window treatments were made for. You can get a variety of products as “blackout”, such as; curtains, shades, blinds, roman shades, honeycomb shades, roller shades, vertical shades, and specialty shades (silhouette, pirouette, luminette).
