This home has so many creative, fun and unexpected pops of incredible in every room! Our home owner is super artistic and creative, She and her husband have been planning this home for 3 years. It was so much fun to work on and to create such a unique home!

From the street, a round rock pathway leads to a small seating area next to the water with a small fire pit. Low maintenance, drought resistant and salt tolerant plantings were used in mass and clumps. This garden has become the focus of the neighborhood with many visitors stopping and enjoying what has become a neighborhood landmark. Located on the shores of Puget Sound in Washington State. Because the client for this project is a chef each part of the design had to perform as well as look good. The traditional white scheme is set off by subtle touches of pink in the backsplash and the veins of the marble counter top. An enameled farmhouse sink brings a little bit of the countryside into this urban location. A five burner cook top, sprayer style faucet and ample fridge pack tons of function into the small space. View of the island end, and, of the Island off the coast. Metal dual pane windows and doors insulate against the heat and cold and the constant sound of the Pacific. If you look closely, a plank on the end of the island shows a cattle brand that we found on one of the boards used. We can only guess that it might have been a test brand to see how hot the iron was. Bespoke millwork was designed for the home office, integrating a bookcase, cabinets and drawers, but most important a custom lifting desk. The desk for engineered to be seamlessly integrated with the surrounded millwork when in low position, and be electronically lifted to become a standing desk.

This charming European-inspired home juxtaposes old-world architecture with more contemporary details. The exterior is primarily comprised of granite stonework with limestone accents. The stair turret provides circulation throughout all three levels of the home, and custom iron windows afford expansive lake and mountain views. The interior features custom iron windows, plaster walls, reclaimed heart pine timbers, quartersawn oak floors and reclaimed oak millwork.

This custom built arbor not only showcases the detail in the wood work, but also puts on a show when the Carolina Yellow Jasmine is in bloom. A spectacular entrance to the perfect garden.
