The diverse range of color hues in conjunction with the authenticity of each stone profile solidified George and Elizabeth Ruzzier's-- the driving force behind Foxwood Homes--decision to utilize Eldorado's stone in the design of their project. By applying Autumn Leaf Rough Cut on the home's exterior and Sierra Mountain Ledge on the fireplace, they created an aesthetically stunning residence with the implementation of texture, color, and natural elements, all of which is amplified by the use of stone. Pauline Hartogh of Wetherly’s Interiors was endowed with the task to create a transitional home for a family of four that melded modern luxury with functionality. She divided the home into three residential wings, all of which are structured in clean, contemporary lines. The heart of the home was created by connecting the indoors to the outdoors using floor-to-ceiling glass, which set an open focus for easy entertainment. The landscape further enhanced the clients’ desire to embrace the indoor/outdoor lifestyle that Florida’s climate offers. Amid warm, tropical landscaping, a Chartes-inspired stone labyrinth provides beauty while also providing a place for meditation and relaxation. An exceptional home calls for exceptional products, and when researching which stone to use, Hartogh went straight for Eldorado Stone. “I feel strongly that the use of Eldorado Stone’s products greatly enriched two of the areas in this project which won design awards,” Hartogh explained. The joints are seamless and the end result is always exactly what she aimed for. Hartogh chose Dry Creek Stacked Stone for the entire exterior, including patio walls and pillars, because not only looks current but also allows her the flexibility to create any design. The use of this product not only helped establish the overall tone for the home but it also allowed for architectural details, which was validated by winning the American Society of Interior Design Award 2013 – Outdoor Living, Single Family Home. This bath offers generous space without going overboard in square footage. The homeowner chose to go with a large double vanity and a nice shower with custom features and a shower seat and decided to forgo the typical big soaking tub. The vanity area shown in this photo has plenty of storage within the mirrored wall cabinets and the large drawers below. The mirrors were cased out with the matching woodwork and crown detail. The countertop is Crema Marfil slab marble with undermount Marzi sinks. The Kallista faucetry was chosen in chrome since it was an easier finish to maintain for years to come. Other metal details were done in the oil rubbed bronze to work with the theme through out the home. The floor tile is a 12 x 12 Bursa Beige Marble that is set on the diagonal. The backsplash to the vanity is the companion Bursa Beige mini running bond mosaic with a cap also in the Bursa Beige marble. Vaulted ceilings add to the dramatic feel of this bath. Inspiration for a small cottage gray one-story exterior home remodel in Atlanta

This beautiful 2 story kitchen remodel was created by removing an unwanted bedroom. The increased ceiling height was conceived by adding some structural columns and a triple barrel arch, creating a usable balcony that connects to the original back stairwell and overlooks the Kitchen as well as the Greatroom. This dramatic renovation took place without disturbing the original 100yr. old stone exterior and maintaining the original french doors above the balcony.

Conceived as a remodel and addition, the final design iteration for this home is uniquely multifaceted. Structural considerations required a more extensive tear down, however the clients wanted the entire remodel design kept intact, essentially recreating much of the existing home. The overall floor plan design centers on maximizing the views, while extensive glazing is carefully placed to frame and enhance them. The residence opens up to the outdoor living and views from multiple spaces and visually connects interior spaces in the inner court. The client, who also specializes in residential interiors, had a vision of ‘transitional’ style for the home, marrying clean and contemporary elements with touches of antique charm. Energy efficient materials along with reclaimed architectural wood details were seamlessly integrated, adding sustainable design elements to this transitional design. The architect and client collaboration strived to achieve modern, clean spaces playfully interjecting rustic elements throughout the home. This ceiling was designed and detailed by dSPACE Studio. We created a custom plaster mold that was fabricated by a Chicago plaster company and installed and finished on-site.
