How a Load-Bearing Wall Became the Star of the Show ?
We had a feeling this wall was up to something… and surprise! It was load-bearing. Instead of letting it cramp our style (or our budget), we leaned in—wrapping it with cabinetry on both sides and turning it into a functional design feature. The real win is an excuse to drench it in the most joyful wallpaper, tying the kitchen and dining together in the best way. Sometimes, the “problems” end up being the best part?

Find the right local pro for your project

-The kitchen was isolated but was key to project’s success, as it is the central axis of the first level
-The designers renovated the entire lower level to create a configuration that opened the kitchen to every room on lower level, except for the formal dining room
-New double islands tripled the previous counter space and doubled previous storage
-Six bar stools offer ample seating for casual family meals and entertaining
-With a nod to the children, all upholstery in the Kitchen/ Breakfast Room are indoor/outdoor fabrics
-Removing & shortening walls between kitchen/family room/informal dining allows views, a total house connection, plus the architectural changes in these adjoining rooms enhances the kitchen experience
-Design aesthetic was to keep everything neutral with pops of color and accents of dark elements
-Cream cabinetry contrasts with dark stain accents on the island, hood & ceiling beams
-Back splash is over-scaled subway tile; pewter cabinetry hardware
-Fantasy Brown granite counters have a "leather-ed" finish
-The focal point and center of activity now stems from the kitchen – it’s truly the Heart of this Home.

Made of 300, 10-foot steel blades set upright 8 inches apart, the award winning Cor-Ten Cattails Sculptural fence was designed for a home in Berwyn, Pennsylvania as a yard sculpture that also keeps deer out.
Made of COR-TEN, a steel alloy that eliminates the need for painting and maintains a rich, dark rust color without corroding, the fence stanchions were cut with a plasma cutter from sheets of the alloy.
Each blade stands 8 feet above grade, set in concrete 3 feet below, weighs 80-90 pounds and is 5/8 inch thick. The profile of the blades is an irregular trapezoid with no horizontal connections or supports. Only the gate has two horizontal bars, and each leaf weighs 1200 pounds.

Traditional style bathroom with cherry shaker vanity with double undermount sinks, marble counters, three wall aclove tub, porcelain tile, glass walk in shower, and tile floors.

This remodel went from a tiny corner bathroom, to a charming full master bathroom with a large walk in closet. The Master Bathroom was over sized so we took space from the bedroom and closets to create a double vanity space with herringbone glass tile backsplash.
We were able to fit in a linen cabinet with the new master shower layout for plenty of built-in storage. The bathroom are tiled with hex marble tile on the floor and herringbone marble tiles in the shower. Paired with the brass plumbing fixtures and hardware this master bathroom is a show stopper and will be cherished for years to come.

The design brief for this ensuite project was to use natural materials to create a warm, luxurious, contemporary space that is both sociable and intimate. To create a continuous flow from the master bedroom into the ensuite, wood-effect porcelain tiles run throughout the lower level and then are echoed on the base of the shower. On the walls and floors of the wet areas, the Ripples designer specified natural stone tiles to reflect the client’s love of natural materials. The clients requested a seating area in the bathroom which resulted in a clever floating bench that wraps around the central dividing wall.
In the spacious shower, a large showerhead is angled to spray water straight down into the sunken floor, ensuring splashes are kept to a minimum and eliminating the need for a glass screen. To maximise storage, meanwhile, there are mirrored cabinets recessed into the wall above the basin, complete with LED lights inside, with a bespoke vanity drawer unit underneath, and a wall-mounted tall cupboard located at the end of the bench, opposite the wet area.
The contemporary lines of the freestanding bath make for a real feature in the corner of this ensuite. The results are a beautiful ensuite which the homeowners were thrilled with and an award-winning design for Ripples.
