Traditional Kitchen, Portland
This handsome pendant is based on purely functional lights that would have illuminated stairwells, sheds, and machine shops in the early parts of the 20th century. When paired with an oversized metal shade, it gains another attribute on its list of fine qualites: smart, serviceable, and now, simply stunning. Corded pendants are a softer, stripped-down alternative to their brass-stem cousins. Originally found only where the most utilitarian lighting was needed, now they serve as a handsome accent over bars, sinks, and islands.

Alex and I FINALLY found the pendant lights we BOTH like. We came to a compromise. Love this look and can definitely...
