    Hi John

It's nice to hear that our style is appreciated. Is think my original inspiration was how you'ed make a piece of furniture. You don't put a worktop on a cabinet and I like to work with as few materials in each project as possible. One type of wood, and one surface material. In this case it is linoleum. We put oak veneer on the back of the doors and linoleum on the front. They are routed after laminating in order to get the best finish on the edges.

Hi Peter, Yes it is rather high. The space between the worktop and the upper cabinets is approximately 100 cm. We have chosen to build the kitchen as a single piece of furniture, by creating overhead cabinets with the same depth as the base units and by raising them to a starting point 192 cm above the floor. This solution provides an intimate kitchen space and workplace while providing space for extra storage.
