Ronnie Wood's Former Painting Studio Becomes Luxury City Apartment

Contemporary Living Room, London

Whitecross Street is our renovation and rooftop extension of a former Victorian industrial building in East London, previously used by Rolling Stones Guitarist Ronnie Wood as his painting Studio. Our renovation transformed it into a luxury, three bedroom / two and a half bathroom city apartment with an art gallery on the ground floor and an expansive roof terrace above.

This is such a cool and unique stair case. My husband and I are looking into building our own home to retire in. It is always nice getting amazing ideas like this.

Thank you! The dark wood is new European oak that has been treated with natural shellac with a touch of walnut stain, then lacquered. The original floors are pine and have been individually sanded by hand, shellacked and lacquered.
