    As a rule of thumb, most nightstands are around 24"-28" high. The average bed is around the same height. If you have a higher bed that needs a stepping stool, or a lower, minimalist type bed, you should adjust the night table height accordingly.

    The purpose of the night stand is to be able to access if from the bed, so if it is too tall, or too short - you most likely won't want to use it. :)
