we had the trim carpenter on the job build the platforms for these sofas from left over reclaimed lumber at the site. we had all of the cushion and pillow work made locally. the cushion work was all local, with ticking and button tufting all done by hand. i love the look and it is sooooo comfortable!

the table is something that we found in los angeles and then modified by bleaching it. I have not seen this style table since,

I love the way you have designed this space. It looks authentic and comfortable! I'm curious (since none are in photo) what style of interior doors you've used -- for bedrooms and bathrooms, for instance. Are they the same throughout the house?

the light fixture is silver nickel plated and is from chameleon lighting, here in the united states. it is a lovely piece, and is beautifully made. there are many knock off out there, but this is the real deal.

there are still some things that have to be done the old fashioned way--we designed and built these day beds with the job's trim carpenter and then our local upholsterer made the old school button tufted, hand ticked cushions. good old american design with good old local labor talent! thanks for liking!!

What a gorgeous and classy room! I saved this link to just admire it from time to time!. The cushions have the hand ticket design that's inspired from Moroccan living rooms (am from Morocco so I want these!!!). I am thinking of having someone build me the base with recycled wood palletes, something simple and large to the size that I want. We dont see the other part of the L, is there a wall there? and forgive me if this sounds noisy, could you indicate whether the cost of all of it together was on the higher or lower end? many thanks

the windows for this project are steel, and were built by a local vendor for this project. they help make the house so unique and authentic feeling!

we made the daybeds and all the cushions. the cushions are all hand ticked, hand tufted, etc. the wood base platforms were built by the trim carpenters for the house. i'm glad that so many people have enjoyed them. i saw one comment from another designer saying that the cushions shown were some sort of slip cover. i only wish it were that easy and cost effective to do this sort of work! we did it the old school way, with local talent and 100% coarse woven linen fabric.

Here, a minimalist living room and color palette are anchored by the pop of gold from the ceiling pendant. Again, the flash of gold catches your eye and creates a center sightline.

What makes it cozy? Fluffy daybeds, loads of throw pillows and a roaring fire. The Sonoran desert is stunning, but sometimes this man dreams of living in the French countryside. He retires to the lounge, devours a chocolate croissant and picks up a Peter Mayle book. As he settles into the custom button-tufted cushions and places a bolster pillow under his head, his eyelids get heavy. He drifts off while dreaming of spending a year in Provence.

in the new kitchen, we like the ceiling beams that are in the old kitchen and would like them to match into the new kitchen.

I'd like to achieve this kind of coziness and airiness at the same time in our living room...
