SanchezContemporary Dining Room, San Francisco

From the inside out, everything within the existing shell of this 1893 Victorian residence is fully renovated from a modern perspective. The design maximizes the flexibility and connection of the living spaces, and addresses structural updates. The rear garden façade receives a contemporary re-interpretation, while the street-front exterior is renovated to maintain neighborhood context.

thats a very good question, to be honest I can not remember (I borrowed them from an acquaintance for the photoshoot) it was a long time ago. I looked at all my bent ply furniture resource books, but none include these chairs. I am sorry that I can't be of assistance here.

you can get ready made niches like these at www.modernniche.com. you cut a hole in your wall and insert the niches. You can than finish them with dry wall mud to get the same effect as shown here.

These vintage chairs do not recline. Are you looking for adjustable seating for dining room specifically? or general advise on where to find chairs that adjust? If the former, I really do not know of any, if the latter you might try http://www.relaxtheback.com

Not into supercolorful dining rooms? No problem. You can keep your dining space light and neutral and still get a little dash of color via wall niches. Paint the insides with a fun, lush red, so that the niches and displayed items get the attention they deserve.Tell us: How have you used red in your dining room?
