Saratoga, CA 2 Mediterranean Staircase, San Francisco

Private Residence, Saratoga, CA
Inspired by the Indian style, the harmony of space and eastern forms are interwoven with regional traditions. Islamic foliated style arches, carved stone pillars and screens (jalis), and complex vaulted ceilings recall the Mughal forms of India. Special features of the 8,200 S.F. house include a full basement with wine cellar and home theatre, semi-circular stair, elevator, covered exterior porches, and large rooftop deck. An expansive folding French door system allows the living space to open completely to the outdoors.

I adore the medallion - So do you have a template? Is it inlaid or painted? I would love details as I wish to put this in my daughter's bedroom! I am doing a designer epoxied overlay and wish to imbed this.

Jennifer Ott Design added this to Recessive Color: 8 Eye-Catching Niches, Nooks and Crannies
Fun color need not be limited to modern and contemporary spaces. A grassy green really freshens up this niche. The soft, pretty color palette warms up the cold, hard materials used in the entryway nicely. It feels less formal and intimidating with such a friendly palette.
