robyn60091- The island looks most like a Carrara slab material (Walker Zanger calls it White Venatino) and this slab looks to be a 5CM thickness or a very nice job of a laminated edge. The backsplash also looks to be made up of Carrara tiles and mosaics. My apologies, can't really see the perimeter but it looks like it could be a nice gray honed limestone. Walker Zanger can definitely provide you with materials that are close to or match these items. Let me know if you're interested in finding the location closest to you.

The countertop perimeter is Caesarstone, color 4030H. The island is a granite, color Bianco Carrara.

The tile is a Carrara marble in various sizes for the backsplash.

It is a Carrara Bianco Herringbone "picture frame" edged with a chair rail. It looks excellent. We did the very same thing for a shower on the DIY Network TV show "I hate my Bath". The cabinetry company calls this color "snow white" but you can likely find similar options with nearly any cabinet company.

The beverage center is from Kitchenaid, Architect II series.

I just spoke with the designer for this project, Stephanie Bryant, and she did have some recommendations for you. Stephanie advises: "The fixture over the island should also be geometric in shape, but not round. Pendant lights with cone shape shades, staggered, would look quite nice. You could also pull in the bronze and possibly amber glass for the shades." Good luck in your search and hope you find some wonderful light fixtures for your island!

Thanks so much for the compliment, glad you like the kitchen! In terms of countertops, this kitchen had a marble island and a solid surface perimeter. One of the primary reasons for this selection is because that marble is more vulnerable to stains and scratches so it can be risky to use it in a "high traffic" area of the kitchen. Placing the marble on the island only means that the less vulnerable solid surfaces can be the primary work surfaces for daily tasks without as much risk to the countertop. The softness (or porousness) of marble is one reason why many people familiar with natural stones will recommend that you select a granite because it is much harder and less likely to stain or scratch. For homeowners who just love the look or marble, limiting it to just on area of the kitchen, like you see here, can be a good compromise. I've attached a few images of other kitchens we've done with a white perimeter and a dark stained island, and most of them do have a single tone of countertop. There's no clear formula for when you should or shouldn't introduce another variable into a design (like two different countertops) but in general larger kitchens do afford the opportunity to get more creative with options, simply because their size permits them to do so. You are correct, this is a 36" range shown in this kitchen. The windows are approximately 27" wide, including the window trim. I hope this is helpful information for you, and glad you like the kitchen!

Choosing the right color for your space is largely a matter of personal preference. Grays are becoming quite popular as a new neutral color option that can work well with many other shades. In fact, if you look closely at this photo, you can see that the adjoining dining room is actually a richer shade of taupe.
