Traditional Dining Room, Jackson
This was a remodel in a house whose inside and outside didn't fit. The outside architecture looked like a Hayes Townes, Louisiana country home. The inside had white tile floors with teal and pink color pallet. Air ducts were boxed in and ran the length of three rooms. We lowered the ceilings to hide the ductwork, created an arched opening from the kitchen/keeping room to the living room and one to the sun room. We replaced 8' high white cabinets with stained cabinets to the ceiling, replaced white tile floors with terra cotta, and covered the ceiling and fireplace with wood. The owner's antiques fit in perfectly.
