Our contractor made a counter top for our bar with a depth of 12" for sitting with a bar stool. It's good for serving but impossible to sit at with a bar stool. How deep should it be so we have room for placemats and more. It's a high countertop. We opened our kitchen to our great room. Thank you for an answer.
