Radiant heat is available for both wood and stone or tile. There are several types but the circulating hot water system works the best in a cold climate. And yes, great for allergies and dust! No more cold feet! Yay!

Thank you both! I spent some very pleasant time on both the Jeldwen and Nanawall websites last night and now have lots more to think/dream about. :D

I'll need to do more research on the radiant heat flooring - though the warm feet idea is a strong argument for 'em! Would the circulating hot water system work in a retrofit as well as new build? Does one still need a traditional furnace system as backup?

Thanks again for the feedback! :D
