What Houzz contributors are saying:
5. Do without soft-close drawers and full-extension slides. Sacrificing common upgrades like soft-close drawers and full-extension slides can save you several hundred bucks (perhaps even more). Remember that they’re just perks — they aren’t required to get a functional or good-looking design. If you’re concerned about wear and tear, try door pulls instead. They can be a much more affordable option that can help preserve the integrity of your door and drawer fronts.
What Houzzers are commenting on:
My middle-aged clients wanted to utilise as much space as possible in their small kitchen,” says Smith. “The corner drawers were a perfect solution as they have full extension drawers for ease of use – no more bending down to that awkward corner space at the back.” The soft-close drawers are designed to hold heavy loads but still glide smoothly. “The drawers are a more expensive option compared to a standard corner cabinet, but in my opinion the benefits outweigh the cost,” Smith explains. “They also look great!”
