    I would guess 10"????
  • Jesse Gines
Ten inches? Lol. You mean 10'. The look about 8' and it should cost about $500 in materials the labor would cost the most. I would charge about $2000 including materials.

Thanks, for the comments. The beds are lots of fun for the kids, the storage at the bottom is great....the room is standard size, but allows a lot of area for playing.....

We can add an on/off switch to most of our sconces or we do have plug in sconces with individual switches.

Each sconce has its own on/off switch at each bunk bed and then a master switch at door to turn all off or on.

We used a local custom cabinet shop to build the bunk beds.

I would say that a qualified, local trim carpenter should be able to build something similar.

What is the total length of the built in bunks? And how wide are the steps? Trying to figure out how long the room has to be for these to fit.

I am sorry, the homeowner provided the rug and I do not know the source.
  • jabouba
The rug might be from overstock, I bought a similar one for my daughter.

it is probably a led light so it heat isnt an issue. the staircase would be an issue no handrail rise run issue

I believe that the riser height is consistent...it may be an optical illusion in the photo, the steps are sloping so it might just appear that they get shallower. I would agree with your thinking to keep them the same to avoid a trip-hazard.

These were custom Built by our trim carpenter based on the size of an XL twin mattresse allowing 3 inches all the way around for changing the sheets.

The overall bed area dimension is 85" long by 44" wide...this is based on a typical extra-long twin bed that is 80" long by 39" wide.

The beds were custom built and involved multiple trades so I cannot say what they might cost in another situation.

It's not easy, but you really have to climb up into the bed. Sometimes a daybed with trundle below can be as charming as a bunk bed, but more practical to make.
