That base is made of inexpensive cinder block (CMU block) which is 8" x 8" x 16" and is available at every hardware store across this great country! A good price for the block is around $1.50 - $1.80 per block. This particular oven base was finished with 18" x 18" Travertine. The approx cost of a finished base like this is about $375.

This is a good example of a custom-built masonry pizza oven. Its design is individualized by the mosaic stone shards on the base.
