2. Tiny House in VermontLocation: Morrisville, VermontDesigner: Ethan Waldman (owner) with building and design help from Cushman Design GroupFeatures we love: Pitched roof, sleeping loft and smart use of small spaceThis tiny house might be tight on square footage, but it’s big on charm, with a pitched roof, a porch, and a barn-red door. The owner, Ethan Waldman, was inspired by the Tiny House movement to build a little house on wheels that would have a light environmental footprint. Milford Cushman, a family friend and architect at the Cushman Design Group, helped make it happen. Once completed, the tiny house got parked in Morrisville, Vermont.
Winter Wonder“In the depths of winter I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.” — Albert CamusNo matter how chilly it gets, a cozy forest hideaway with a wood burner and lots of windows with views to snowy mountains will inspire blissful contemplation. This house was designed by Ethan Waldman of Morrisville, Vermont, who was inspired by tiny-house blogs to build a movable home using quality materials such as local cedar for the exterior siding. The untreated trim will age to a silvery gray.
