Manorama1 you nailed it! A paint chip vs paint on a wall vs the camera vs your monitor will always come up different...there is no winning combination. When we're asked what color of paint we use for a room we actually provide the specified paint color not the way the lighting or camera interpreted the color.

Thanks for all the great comments on this luxurious bedroom. We used Benjamin Moore Bryant Gold HC-7. We use colors from the historical series in many of our projects.

Fulvous is ultimately a variation of brown but can be described as having yellow undertones, like these painted walls. Fulvous is inspired by the feathers of ducks and birds.

Unfortunately, the study doesn't offer any possible reasons. Is the color tricking people into thinking about Milky Way candy bars and chocolate, making them more excited? Or is that just the case in my house?

For maximum flexibility, choose articulated reading lights that you can adjust to suit your height and your reading position. Go for a style that focuses light in a narrow beam rather than diffusing it over the surrounding space.

Margaret Everton added this to Anglepoise Lamps: Where Beauty Meets IndustryJan 22, 2011

Double boxy task lighting in a bronze finish lights both sides of the bed allow one partner to sleep while the other burns the midnight oil.

Paul Anater added this to Why Mahogany? Amazing Grain, Luminous ColorJan 11, 2011

Mahogany's been a prized wood used in furniture since Sir Walter Raleigh presented a mahogany table to Queen Elizabeth I in the late 1500s. It can be milled and carved beautifully and holds a high gloss finish better than any other hardwood used in furniture making. Mahogany is native to the New World tropics but is now cultivated around the world. Its country of origin plays a large role in its quality, and the finest mahoganies still come from Honduras and Cuba.

Love how warm and romantic this feels. It's not colors I'd have chosen, but I love it
