Alotta, I have never tried the Command strips on brick. I don't know if they could handle the weight of such a long garland with lights and bows.

Hanging garland - I have doors just like this on my home. Can you tell me what was used to hang the garland on each door? It seems typical hangars would slide off. Tx

Thanks. What did you attach the pipe cleaners too so they would hang from the door?

This door has iron bars on the outside of the glass and that is what the swags are attached to. If you have glass there and no iron bars to attach to then you have to either use a 3M hook on the glass or run clear fishing line from the top of the door frame with tacks.

We usually work with a custom floral designer in our area for our holiday décor. However, you might want to check out Frontgate for a garland like this.

Thank you very much, I just think that is so pretty and our entrance is close to that.

Another wiring tip for holiday lighting - When my husband built our house he put an outlet under every window so that by flipping one switch I can turn on all the Christmas candles! Also, we have a wrap around porch and he installed outlets at the corners on each side of the house so we can plug in the icicle lights without extension cords!

Your hubby did right by adding additional outlets. I loathe extension cords, but they are sometimes a necessary evil

Hello. These were from a company called IMAX. I am not sure if they still sell these same items, but may have something like them. Best of luck in your search. A company called Sullivan's has wise men and the Holy Family that look a lot like these.

The garland is from Frontgate and is artificial. We made the bows to coordinate with the clients other exterior bows.

EnvironmentalLights.com sells pre-lit greenery with high quality LED warm white Christmas lights. We used the popular mini-conical bulbs for this greenery because they're so popular and really shine.

We also sell LED light strings year-round if you want to design your own greenery.

Hi, Mary. For the arch swag there are nails in the mortar that we can tie wire through the garland and secure on the nails. I hope this helps with your decorating!

Thank you for your question. I am glad you like the garland! I suggest you talk to a local installation professional about the best way to attach a garland to the stucco. I have never had to install a holiday job into stucco, so I don't have any experience with the issues that may come with that situation. I wish you all the best!

slickvic, Can you elaborate? I am not sure what you need. The lights are plugged into the exterior outlets. The garland is tied with wire to screws or nails into the mortar. I hope this helps.

Hello, Paul4071. There are a lot of other things to consider when picking a paint color. For example, what is the floor? What kind of light does that room get? I would need more information to help you with your question.

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Becky Harris added this to Houzzers Say: 16 Outdoor Must-Haves
Outlets outdoors. Conveniently placed juice for holiday displays were very important to many of you, especially near the front door. Several of you also chimed in that it is convenient to have outlets on every side of the house, eliminating the need for dozens of feet of orange outdoor extension cords.
Vanessa Brunner added this to A Contractor's Secrets to Hanging Holiday Decor
How to Drill Into Brick or ConcreteBrick can be a difficult material to hang things on. Its durability means you can't use the standard methods that you'd use around the rest of your house. You'll need screws made for masonry and know where to drill and how to repair the holes after the holidays.
